heard yelling outside. looking around for it, i eventually find the source.
Asian bloke in an apartment across the other side of anzac pde, yelling at the top of his voice on the phone.

quote

"...EVERYTHING I VALUE MOST, WHY YOU COME BACK TO AUSTRALIA, WHY YOU HAUNTING ME, WHYYYY, WHYYYYYYYYYYYYY, WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
"i TRUSTED YOU, EVERYTHING ABOUT YOU, NOW I BURN IT, EVERYTHING IN MY HOUSE, EVERY PHOTO, EVERY ALBUM, f**k YOU I BURN IT"

Listening in on neighbours phone conversations is a great way to pass the time.

My favourite part was the overly dramatic WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY

my least favourite part was when hewas telling the other person not to kill themself :? sort of ruined the humour of the situation...

I have to read this paper for a class tomorrow and it's doing my head in. Thick feminist jargon does not make for an entertaining read. Seriously, f**k social science academics.

Was in a bar a few years ago when a socsci PhD candidate (met at random) told a friend that her science PhD wasn't worthy of the 'PhD' award because (from memory) all she had to do in science was 'follow instructions without thinking about how to structure an idea, discussion and argument'.

This science PhD took her 4 years of work, at least 6 days a week, at least 9 or 10 hours a day...

The socsci PhD student was subjected to a very heated and pointed discussion and argument that lasted a good 10 minutes before they realised they were indeed mistaken. Then they left. I don't think I stopped laughing for about 20 minutes.

Please don't embarrass yourself by actually trying to argue about gender in society.
