I love my job sometimes.

Went in to speak with my supervisor about taking next Wednesday off so I can take my girlfriend to the airport and deal with the resulting, inevitable sadness and he was really good about it. No questions, no awkwardness - just tinkered with my timetable to give me the day off and have me work more on the Tuesday.

Even asked if I'd prefer a late start on Thursday so I can 'drink the pain away'.

Easy done.
