It's probably worth seeing a doctor and/or psych before you decide. Medication does help me, usually. But a psych will be able to help you with relaxation exercises that can help calm you down when you get bad and might even be able to help stop the attacks.

This, i had to get an assesment before i started doing site work again after my heart attack. When i got out of the hospital i was too scared to walk up a set of stairs because it would increase my heart rate and had to take it day by day for awhile. Eventually came good but they had to make sure i wouldn't wig out in a dangerous place like a construction site and although he wouldn't tell me what else he found he cleared me of anxiety and gave me a few tips to calm down in case i did lose my shit. Have tried them when ive been furious a few times and definately calmed me down.

Or as he put it "each screw loose needs a different sized spanner to tighten and most of the time doesn't need a paid subby to do it for you" lol

I think I might.. my husband and I went to marriage counseling, and the psych asked me a few personal q's.. my answers made her eyebrows lift, but I gave her the look like I didn't want to talk about it in front of my husband. So, I might go and see her on my own.

If that's what it takes to feel comfortable and vent your ills, the sooner the better.
Get it into the open and work it through, the more it's left the greater the stress.

Do it. It can even just be really helpful talking to someone who knows ans understands what's happening and why and can help you understand...and who isn't going to bullshit you. Friends and family can often sugarcoat things or just offer reassurances, which really don't help. A psych will tell you exactly what's happening and offer solutions and answers...

This.

And you can always keep venting to me in between. Makes me feel useful haha.
