Tabata regimen

A version of HIIT was based on a 1996 study by Professor Izumi Tabata, uses 20 seconds of ultra-intense exercise (at an intensity of about 170% of VO2max) followed by 10 seconds of rest, repeated continuously for 4 minutes (8 cycles).

That's my kind of heaven really. I'm bloody unfit but boy - when I wasn't, doing that successfully felt like an exercise orgasm.

What kind of hell is that?
A horrid hell where even demons fear to tread.

Even at my fittest many years ago I hated exercise. Playing sport was great, but I have never enjoyed exercise. I don't get that positive endorphin rush every fitness freak brags about.
At least it only lasts for four minutes.
8 x 4 minutes flat chat. Plus we chucked in a sprint at the end of the 4 minutes just for shits and giggles...

I've been playing heaps lately. Leveled a hunter to level 90 and had been doing the daily thang, but have switched to a Chinese server.

My brother and I are power leveling toons through RAF

What's your BattleTag/RealID? I'll add you (If possible).

Yeah, it's a fun game I've just been doing achievements and such.

I've also been playing a bit during my time off work but kind of getting bored of it again

I originally quit due to Uni but I've been enjoying my time back, playing with people I know makes it a ton more fun as opposed to randoms.

Same :( esp as my teeth are rubbish as is.

I'm lucky, I have quite good teeth. Except for one measly little tooth.

That's my kind of heaven really. I'm bloody unfit but boy - when I wasn't, doing that successfully felt like an exercise orgasm.

WHAT? :crazy::crazy:

:? Remind me to NEVER be near you when you exercise. I only exercise to maintain my fitness level or burn off tension.

Exercise orgasm? Drew, you kinky f**k!

Hey, let me show you my dumbells ;-) Jks.

Even at my fittest many years ago I hated exercise. Playing sport was great, but I have never enjoyed exercise. I don't get that positive endorphin rush every fitness freak brags about.

For me, its less about the endorphin rush and more the sense of accomplishment coupled with the realisation that when I played sport, I could do anything my mind said I needed to do to win because my body would always respond. That was my real rush.

There's nothing like chasing down some bloke on a footy field, defending like a demon for the rest of the set then on the first hit up off your line, stepping through the defence then outrunning the bloke you chased down. THAT'S exhilerating.

Bah, I'm wrecked now. Nothing to see here sadly :(

i always found just straight out jogging/riding etc incredibly boring. Dont know how people can be on the one machine for an hour at one speed.

Belting a tractor tyre with a sledgehammer is much more fun

That's probably part of the issue. I was never a particularly good player, more solid than anything. Never great, but never bad either. And I was too versatile for my own good, would play back row one week, 5/8 the next, then fullback for a few games, then 2nd row. Wherever defence needed beefing up, that's where I'd be playing that week.

But training was always a bitch. No matter how much I'd do, I would still be one of the unfittest in the side.

I've accepted that I'll never be a size 8. I don't have enough self discipline for it.

Very very moist day here at the spit. Also working on Darren Beadman's boat today, for someone with his cash you'd think he'd own something nicer.

F*ck one of my lecturers is such a tease. I eMail him asking "Considering this unit had no formal exam do we get our marks in lieu with the other exam marks or at an earlier stage?".

He goes, "I won't tell you when, but I can say- you'll be happy with your result for the unit".

Way to answer my question...
