Wait til they start reacting to your voice and to things like music etc. We saw a friend on the weekend who has a newborn. Their baby cried and ours started to wriggle and interact like it was already born.

We've also found playing certain songs at night calm it down; I've never had so moving a moment as when I had my brother in law play 'Here comes the sun' one evening only to see our child move in response, then apparently fall asleep.

Also, tell your wife to anticipate hicuups! :D

Breakfast when you can't eat gluten and are also diabetic is so limiting. Grrrr.

Use corn tortillas! Toast a tortilla, put on wilted spinach, a poached egg, some avocado, salt and pepper.

Or use them in place of toast for scrambled eggs and eggs benedict and such

Meanwhile I am making chocolate ice cream

I would need to get up sooooo early for that. Breakfast on a work day needs to be done in under 5 minutes.
