Got some news today that could have a pretty huge impact on my future in China.
The big bossman has been promoted, which means he'll no longer be in charge of things around the college. He's been an excellent boss, and they've shifted a Chinese woman into his spot.
I'm willing to give it the benefit of the doubt, but in my experience the Chinese know as much about foreigner relations as I do about string theory - not a great deal.
I'd been almost a lock to re-sign in April when my contract expires, but these next three months will go a long way towards deciding that.
It also sucks because being mates with him, it was good having him about for a chat about the footy or just random crap. You don't know how much it matters having a boss who cares about you until you get one who genuinely looks out for you.
Interesting times ahead.
