Forgot to mention earlier, after they cut the tree down they just left the tree in the lane-way behind our house, which is why the neighbours started complaining to us. Mum said she has already contacted the council about this aspect (illegal disposal of waste or something) of it at least.

Yeah, we have that invoice thorson. Was only removed today, I was pretty mad when I saw we'd caved in and paid someone else to remove it, I was hoping for a Homer vs City Hall/Garbage man situation.

Apey, just ring the f**kers & tell them unless they pony up with the $200.00 you will call the DFT & file a complaint. It is a pretty safe bet you get the money without making another call. It wouldnt be worth their time to fight it even if they had done the right thing. With the DFT the business is usually considered guilty until proven innocent. It amazes me these cockheads try ro pull this sort of shit.
