The A-league part of the Soccer section is extremely quiet. When it comes to the A-league of course I support the biggest team in the country with the best fanbase, the best jersey, the best colours. Wanderers are plastic. FC look like City. The Heart are woeful, and nothing outside of Melbourne and Sydney is worth supporting in anything.

What about "The Dragons". I assume that's ok? Well guess what? That excludes the Steelers just as much as leaving out the 2nd bit of a hyphen.

Guess what else excludes the Steelers? The jersey. Going from playing half their games south of Sydney to about a third. That also excludes them.

Compared to that, saying "St George" is harmless. And everyone knows that it's hardly a real JV and more like a partial relocation and takeover that involved giving up nothing important.

"The Dragons" is okay..the Steelers name was dropped in the joint venture.
I'm not a fan of just calling it "St George" though, that feels like its excluding the Illawarra.
