If you think Melbourne will mean cheaper beer, you're going to have a bad time

It's not just that. Shots aren't allowed in Coffs pubs. And in Melbourne (and every other decent city) because there's more than 2 pubs in the entire town you have some choice. There's always a good deal somewhere each night. Not the case here.

so.. over the past week my knee has started making a creaking sound, predominantly when going down stairs.. no pain.. just sounds like a rusty gate..

but over the past 24 hours there were 3 definite painful twangs..

decided it would be a good idea to see someone, as i have round 1 next weekend so i want to miss as little game time as possible this season..

but.. the question is who do i see - an osteo or a physio? If you ask either of them, they each say they are the better option..

any recommendations from people here (yep, I'm throwing this out to unqualified strangers on the internet because I'm getting conflicting information from trained professionals..)

my gp is on holidays ATM..

will just get a random doc and get their opinion..

stupid unexplained knee pain.. I've had a ridiculously good run without any joint issues too.. Only the odd hamstring or calf injury has given me downtime for about the last 6 years..

physio>osteo, but yea GP first.

I'm fine muscle wise. Have had the occasional unfortunate injury in the last 5 years (broken arm, dislocated AC Joint, torn ankle ligaments).

Occasionally get ITB problems though, that's annoying as hell

Doesn't sound like a massive issue. Maybe just a bit of inflammation. At worst, could be a bit of bone that's worn off, wandering around the joint but I doubt that. If it were bone, you'd probably find it would lock up occasionally.

Get yourself some fish or krill oil caps and take those for a week or two. If it's inflammation, it should improve.

I'm not sure who Nathan Merrin is, but he sounds like he has potential.
