All of history is a salient example. Relevnce and context need to be understood, though.
Sorry, US.
And I disagree. I don't think they are in a good position.
I wish. At least that would've paid well...
Idealogical difference. I tend to agree with it.
That would be a tad hypocritical given I started the discussion :sarcasm:
Shh, keep it down and I'll let you have some... :sarcasm:
Funnily enough I was reading some literature thanks to uni about civilisations that had collapsed (eg the Mayans, Romans and whatnot). Common thread between all of them is that none of them saw it coming before they ended up just going in on themselves
Seconded.
Actually, the most intense mosh from memory was either custard or TISM.
Never got to see TISM live, just about the only band I like i've never seen. Would've loved it. Have The White Albun DVD, it looks f**king nuts, have seen some other footage as well.
I'm a bit past my moshing stage, used to love that shit when i was 21 and under but I started going to concerts pretty young (went to homebake when I was 11 and 12 in 2000/2001 for example) and started getting in the pits about 13, so i basically got over it. Would rather get a spot right at the front chill half drunk at the back with what I call dancing but others would call, well, CP maybe.
Craziest pit's ive been in? The first time I saw NOFX at luna park was pretty nuts. Pennywise at Roundhouse. Less than Jake, at Manning Bar. most Frenzal gigs are pretty nuts but alot of that is how drunk I am, oblivious to my own health as I run rampant. Bouncing Souls in the states resulted in me getting a knock over the head, again alcohol the issue.
I think pits on the whole have settled down in recent years anyway.
