Cold weather is awesome. So long as it isn't too cold. It's weird. I've been living in a nice warm subtropical climate since I was 6, yet I still feel more comfortable in the cold Blue Mountains climate where I was born.

Subtropical? Which area are you in now?

That's what my last girlfriend said.

She left me. I could make it sticky, I just couldn't make it hot.

see i find WA worst of all.. the time difference just stuffs you on a short turnaround.. need at least 2 nights there IMHO..

i have to chuckle on last time i was there for work and it was just an overnighter.... on the first day my boss & i finished what we needed to do from a work perspective during perth business hours, then decided to meet for dinner at 6pm perth time..

which was 9pm EDST..

anyway, a beer with dinner led to a few beers after dinner, which led to various pubs all around the place, and ending up at northbridge.. i believe we finished up some time around 3am perth time..

which is 6am EDST..

which meant i had been up for about 24 hours..

and of course, business starts at around 8.30 / 9am back on the east coast..

which is around 5.30 / 6 am perth time..

i don't know what it is about that place, but i seem to drink far too much over there..

one of my favourite trips with a mate was touching down mid friday, heading straight to the belgian beer cafe, and pretty much drinking up until we left the little creatures brewery on the sunday to head to the airport..

i have never slept so soundly as i do on the plane on trips back from perth..

It has that vibe to it. Plus, you're so far from anyone who knows you that its like being in another country. I really liked Perth; would give living there a chance if the right opportunity came up.

Did it once and that was enough. Last Friday to Sydney to see a neurosurgeon and back. Delayed flights, being tired and shit news made me very emotional by the end

Not to mention the $80 I spent on trains and buses alone.

Yeah, saw you struggle through that. Didn't look like fun :(

Need to pee. Bed too warm. Back too sore. What to do?

Bedpan?

f**k cold mornings

Agree.

Why is it that you are so contrary to everyone on this forum :p

JM speaks my language. My ideal is nights between 4 and 9 degrees and days between 14 and 19.
