The Young Ones was one of the greatest television series of all time. Rik Mayall was a comedic genius.

I will never forget the episode where Neil found oil in the basement so Mike took it over and became an oil baron and Vivien was his hired muscle.

The two of them forced Neil and Rick to be the workers and made them dig for the oil.

Best scene ever was when Vivien had both Rick and Neil spread eagled on the floor while Mike was questioning them. Rick said something smart arsed and Viv hit him square in the nuts with a cricket bat to which Rick yelled out defiantly - "ha ha... Missed both my legs".

Some of you young blokes have probably never heard of this show or Rik Mayall. You may know him better as Fred from the movie Drop Dead Fred.

That's about the most recent thing in the mainstream that I can remember him doing.

RIP Rik.

Very sad. Grew up watching reruns of it. Loved the show.

I loved when they were watching the TV without reception.

"Right, I'm going to bed," says one of them.

"I think I might watch the dot for a little longer," Rik said.

"Tell me what I've missed tomorrow, will ya?" was the response.

I won't be surprised if NSW do something similar to what the Roosters do. Dugan at centre and Hayne at fullback in attack and swapping in defence

Hayne immediately turned defense into attack in game 1. Dugan can't do that. I don't understand why they just didn't pick a specialist centre. We're done!

Dugan is a better kick returner than Hayne. Hayne's best effort in coming out of our own half was a dummy half run on about the third tackle. He can do that playing from any position

Hoppa has good hands and would be good for Dugan if he was on the wing, if Hoppa plays outside Dugan he wont see much ball

Then again Hoppa could be a better option to fall back on the 5th tackle, he's good under the high ball, could be why he (Dugan) was moved away from fullback at the drags

Dugan at centre. NSW is f**ked.

Disagree, BM. I think we'll see him shift with Hoppa/Hayne a bit. Dugan is a gun.

^This.

Dugan was one of our better players last series, is a gun in kick-returns and brings a good x-factor to the park. That's a very good back line. Slightly weaker defensively than dual morris brothers, but very potent in attack and kick returns.

Hoppa is a specialist centre.

Could be. Either way, I like the team. Glad bird is back as well.

Daley said on FSN - it seems like Hayne and Dugan would interchange at fullback after Hayne's legs went "numb" in game one.

IMO I would have had Hoppa at centre, Mansour on the wing.
