Ah f**k. BM and I technically attend the same uni. Time to drop out
I'm doing Communication. You?

But I'm a distance student and I'm about to get even further away than I am now. You don't have to worry about me ruining the campus.
:lol::lol::lol: Griffith
It's an open entry degree and I want to secure Youth Allowance when I move to Melbourne. Cheaper in the short term than doing Tafe. If I like it I'll stick with it and if I don't I can always transfer to a Victorian uni.

I'm either going to major in journalism or public relations. Both are almost totally useless but seem relevant given I want to get into my own business and writing as a part of that.

More relevant than my science degree in the current scientific "yes man" climate anyway

I'm technically a Comms student, it's tagged on my degree. They kinda do... like... it's basically...

Nah, I got nothing.

I'm only two units in.

I got marked down because my last essay was too complex

That's communications.

Seriously though, what is 'communications' as a degree?

I was at uni and even the comms students couldn't explain it.
and i was one of these students...

essentially it was a way to waste 3 years of my life on a degree i used for 6 months..

those were 3 wonderful years of drinking though.. So that was worth it..

and now i find myself spending a further $36k in further education, to give me qualifications in the field i have ended up in..

on the plus side, very soon i can actually have letters after my name...

and it's a shame they aren't 'esq.'

That's communications.

I failed a first year Communications course because my essay was 'too good to not be cheating'.

Literally, all I did was ask a few second year students for their advice on the assessment. Didn't look at a single one of their assessments, which was good given they all struggled to pass.

Yeah I was pissed off. They wanted "simpler, less complex ideas and discussion." What the f**k?

Meanwhile, someone is going to die at the Giro tonight. Holy f**k how anyone can let them ride in this is ludicrous. I wouldn't even SNOWBOARD in this

Anti vac believers are painful and dangerous.

What type of business?

I found the same thing in a way. Did marketing, ended up in supply chain, now I'm in a hybrid business function that deals with finance, marketing, sales and supply chain. The marketing degree did help me learn how to think outside the square. Sorta. Maybe. Kinda.

I was gonna start it up earlier, but busted ankle put paid to it. Basically freelance wine consulting and catering. Parties and the like, mostly. Firstly I thought about just being a tasting guy, because a mate owns a grog shop and is always bemoaning the idiots that get sent out to run tastings and promising me the world to run them instead (he's scum though and I don't trust him :p) But then I also figured every week I get people come in to work and grab me and go "I'm having a party, here's how many bottles of red and white I need, HALP!" So why not design pre-boxed packs, deliver them, and save them the hassle? And I'd like to do a few wine lists and in-home/restaurant/party tastings as well. Might work, might not, but it's something different...for Canberra anyway. It'll probably never be more than a part time thing but at least that's less hours working for someone else!

Re-writing my resume after two years. Nothing like bending the truth to get where I should be.
