I've never been sick so I've never needed my own Medicare card but now I do because I'm moving away. I don't even know where Medicare is in this town.

Costco opens in QLD, less than 10 minutes from my house, in the direct path of where I needed to go today. Damn people and their obsessive impulse to be able to say "I waz deer furst". 4 sets of lights needed cops directing traffic, the usually empty main drag was lined with cars and herds of people were everywhere willing to walk ten minutes just to get a glimpse.

Sign up in a couple of weeks when it settles down. Well worth the $60 fee per year

Is it though? Ive been to them in the states and the quantities you have to buy to make it worth while is ridiculous. I love spaghetti sauce, but I don't need 5lts of the shit!!!!!

The only thing I like is the 99c hot dogs and the bottomless cup soft drinks....... Well at least I think they're bottomless.

How's about them storm boys eh Thorso??..... ;-)

they held their opening party / industry function on Wednesday night..

i hear that attendee numbers were a bit light..

you think they would have checked what else was on that night in Brisbane before booking that in, wouldn't you...?

A local bar has asked me to interview for a gig as bar manager. I've got no experience, but I've got the connections locally and I feel pretty confident I could do a good job of it.

Question is: Do I want to stick around and try something new? Or do I want that time at home and a new adventure next year?

At least you'll be earning money before the next adventure. What will you be doing in GI?

Also, I want free beer.

Easily worth it.

We don't do our grocery shopping there though. Just when ever we have something on.

Plus, save a shitload on booze.

$45 for 1.125L bottles of spirits.

And we had no chance, even though smith ended up playing. Got my tip right though :)

Earning money, yeah. Remains to be seen what he's offering, though. It'd need to be at least 10,000RMB a month to be worth staying, since I'd also have to rent a place.

Already signed up, just not going down there until it's calmed down a bit.

Spent a month down in Canberra and went to the one there. There's some good bargains to be had if you've got room to store them, but some things are just impractical. The fuel is the big kicker though. Prices have dropped around my area since they opened.

I think I should have warmed up before my C210K run tonight. One of my legs feels like it wants to spring off. f**king painful.
