I won 2 1/2 cricket grand finals as a junior. The half was a combined comp, the overall grand final was between two sides from the other association so we played off with the other leaders from illawarra and won. Lost another grand final also

Since U/16's grand final in though, across 4 senior seasons of cricket and 8 years of soccer I've played in 4 finals games for one win. Missed a soccer final to go to a wedding as well. No grand finals. booo

Folks who moved in in front of us must be the 'good' bogan Red Bear references. They seem to be quite good people but by god are they bogan. I suppose the old don't judge a book by its cover comes back into play. A few seconds with them and you'd be forgiven for thinking the worst.

Last game of soccer I ever played was a semi final (Border vs Southport) which we lost about 4-0. Made the finals in cricket last year. De La Salle Kingsgrove scored 300 odd, we got bowled out for 32...

- u/19 rugby league

Was a good game. We scored in the first 2 minutes and then they were all over us for the rest of the game but couldn't score. I almost got one from 35 yards out with my left foot but just went wide. Was going to pull my shirt off and carry on in front of the trendy Terrigal fans after they gave it to me all game. Worst town on the Coast

Have won the following Grand Finals

- U/10B schoolboy rugby league (was for all the kids younger than 10 in primary school)
- U/11 Sydney South West area schoolboy knockout (this was also the trial to make the SSW team to play State Championships which we lost the Grand Final to Mackillop)
- U/12 Western Suburbs Magpies schoolboy knockout (went on to lose the the semi final of the State knockout)
- U/12 touch football (helped that Shannon Macdonnell was in the team)
- U/17's WSDJRL
- Group 6 reserve grade 2011 (went through the season undefeated)
- Group 6 reserve grade 2012.

Have also lost the following

- U/13's WSDJRL
- U/14's WSDJRL
- U/18's WSDJRL (although we only had 2 teams in the district so we played in the Canterbury comp and where we lost in the semis after knocking out the other WSDJRL in a playoff for 5th)
- Group 6 reserve grade 2009
- Group 6 reserve grade 2010

Philosophical question for you all:

What exactly constitutes a bogan? Do they have to be assholes and generally woeful parents? Are there levels of bogan?
I think there are definitely levels of bogan

Personally most bogans are perfectly nice people. You can be a bogan without being a shitful human being.

Any player retirements stand out for you lot?

Freddy retiring in 04 was probably the last time I had a true favourite player finish up. Menzies was basically the last player from when I first started watching the game to finish up so that was sad. They're the ones in recent memory that stand out anyway.

Just saw Luke Bailey has retired, which is a bit of a shame. Can't believe he's been in first grade so long.

If I've worked this out properly Parramatta have a 33.194066459% chance of qualifying for the finals.
