i'm in two minds about this stuff mate...

see, i remember it happening at the time, but now that i'm a bit older it places a new perspective on the crimes.. if anything i didn't realise back then just how awful these were (yes, knew they were awful at the time, but now i've developed my empathy a bit more, i can understand it at a new level..)

secondly, we don't ever want to see this kind of behaviour again, and if by revisiting it we can help alert young ladies to be observant for this kind of danger, it is of a benefit..


but.. i don't agree with rehashing it purely to sell papers..

I agree with this, but...

... I believe it is being used for this. The DT is a shocking medium for constructive reflection or soul searching. A documentary on it, examining why it happens etc is a far more appropriate approach to handle such a delicate and devastating issue.
