There was a thing on the ABC about the 30 million Latinos in the States and how many of them he has pissed off.

That's a lot of voters

The sad thing is, it's probably not. I'd wager a hell of a lot of that number don't vote.

Being in the US for a big chunk of the Republican race was a bit scary. Everybody there seems to be aware how terrible Trump is, but nobody seems to know what they can do about it.

That being said, if you've watched the debates, Trump still seems less like a crazed demagogue than Cruz.

I just don't get how they can dislike him but he still has turnouts like he's getting. Is their redneck base so big it overrules the remainder?

Yep. Not to mention how he's racially seterotyped them.

"They'll pay for it and they'll be happy about it".

Sometimes, I think Trump is just trolling us all to show how stupid American democracy is.

I keep thinking this is all a publicity stunt, but it can't be. He's too far down the rabbit hole for it to be a stunt.

I saw it on FB. My opinion hasn't changed. Trump is a blusterer who knows how to work a crowd of redneck bigots. He would be an awful president. Ted Cruz would be severely worse.

Clinto, Cruz and Trump will all send America down the drain. All three.

The Republican strategy atm seems to be to keep Rubio, Cruz and Kasich in the race, deny Trump a delegate majority and effectively steal the election away from him if he has a plurality but not a majority.

That could get really nasty.

EDIT: There's a small but significant chance that Sanders could win a majority of the popular vote and Trump could win a plurality and they both get denied by the party establishment.

Is Seth Quackenboss in any way related to Mike Quackenbush?

 That was my first thought when I saw it on FB too.

Cruz is a f**king monster. His level of outrage at Trump saying "No American citizen should have to die in the street because they can't afford medical care" was just disgusting.

Clinto, Cruz and Trump will all send America down the drain. All three.

They're all terrible choices.

Why would it get nasty? Excuse the ignorance, I'm curious.

He's already implied that he will run independently if he is denied the Republican nomination he has rightfully won by underhanded tactics. He has an aggressively loyal voter base who will feel wronged if the Republican party wrangle their way out of giving him the nomination they've voted him into.

Basically, they need to make sure Trump is not their candidate or risk losing control of their party, but they can't do so without alienating a huge chunk of their voter base who have come out in huge numbers to vote for Trump.

You think Trump rallies are dangerous now? Wait until those angry, ill-educated hillbillies are told that their vote doesn't matter.

Trump's followers have already demonstrated a propensity for violence, imagine how bad they'll get when they'll get a valid target.

Plus it got pretty ugly the last time a US party ignored popular will.
