im a crazy bulldogs supporter but Sutto is an absolute champion!!!
he's by far my favourite player outside the bulldogs and i hope u guys keep him at ur club for good, coz he will do alot more for u than braith or matty orford could.

I rated him the first moment I saw him, but he has exceeded my expectations!

Sutton will do more good for the Bunnies than Braith or Orford.

I agree with Everyone. John Sutton is something out of the box. He is a future star of the game.

I have also been extremely impressed with Beau Champion. Lets just hope Souths are producing the juniors again like we know they can.

I've been saying all year that if we kept Roberts, Hill, Dymock, Serdaris, Mellor, Field and even the likes of Nathan Wood in the 90's then Souths would have been a major force.
However due to us trying to stay afloat and not pay overs Souths struggled with there playing talent.
Now Richo is there and the salary cap is in place, Souths will keep these grade of player and once again challenge for the title.

Sutton, Champion and Gordon are already showing the next crop are coming.

I personally believe next year we are a semi final chance, in 2007 a major force and In 2008 the Red and Green Volcano will erupt.

He signed with Raiders but has a shoulder reconstruction. Still has 2 years to go on his contract though. Rated highly by Matty Elliot hence the reason he signed for 3 years. Played all his footy with Sutto so would fit in quite well. I dont think he is a back anymore Raiders are bulking him up!

All that happend there was that he had a run in with the lead singer of the Screaming Jets. No lock up for that sort of stuff.

Actually Damo was rated more highly then Sutto as a junior. Could you imagine if he peaked like Sutto has!!!

Ah that's right. I remember the story now. Nothing come of it at all.
If Tovio , Sutton, Gordon, Champion and Merritt were playing well it would be very exciting and give the Tigers a run for there money for Entertainment value.

and IMO there's more pride in training up your own juniors (NOT ANASTA THE LOSER) and winning a comp that way than buying a team from elsewhere and getting there .. these boys are the future for us and i cant WAIT to see them excel further next year!!!

Haha I watched Sutton and Damon play from like under 7's.. They were in my brothers comp and Sutton went to my highschool..I was 2 years younger.. Sutton wasn't THAT good as he was avg height then grew late to like 6'4 or whateva and became a monster.

Damon Alley-Tovio was a superstar freak from being a little kid. I remember when I was little I would hear things like Ooooooo Damon can spin a footy on his finger!! Damon can kick them from the sideline (under 12's) oo Damon can do this etcetc. lol. He was the standout #1 best player in Souths Juniors for like 10 years easily.

BTW Sutton and Anasta went to same high school.

During sports tonight they showed about 10 secs footage from the game, but it involved sutton breaking the line and giving one of his 1 handed flick offloads on to anasta, who then kicked and got the ball back too score. The only player that was signaled out for mention was anasta, but sutton looked good on that brief bit of footage.
