Yeah it's Reynolds. It all started from the NSWRL's erroneous tweet. If they can't tell the difference between John and Josh how the f**k are we going to beat QLD?
What else would you expect from Dopey Daley & his side kick Bozo the clown.

I won't be throwing my support behind the maroons. But it will hurt less to see the blues lose this year.

Really disappointed at this decision. f**king laughable they can't find a place for anyone from our team in the Blues.

Ill be happy If we win but f**k does anyone else feel like laurie looks and sounds out of his depth since getting the nod as coach? He seems to mouth meaningless cliches and say nothing. He also acts serious, staunch and wise but it seems like an act.

Yep. It appears the only way NSW will win a series anytime soon is with Madge at them helm and Sutto and Reynolds in the halves.

I think NSW supporters need to accept our selectors are hopeless. I'll always support NSW but it seems they can never get it right and they are so hypocritcal with their selections and justifications.

"In-form" or "incumbent", "better-fit" or "already formed a combination" are some of the bullshit justifications, used interchangeably to when it suits them, spoken by Daley, Stuart, Bellamy and Bozo. It's a joke.

JUST PICK THE BEST 17 PLAYERS FFS!!!

Rabbitohs five-eighth John Sutton will return to the Rabbitohs for this Saturday night's clash with the Newcastle Knights at ANZ Stadium, having missed out on a spot in the New South Wales Blues squad with Coach Laurie Daley announcing that the Bulldogs' Josh Reynolds will replace Kurt Gidley for Game One of the State of Origin Series.
Both Sutton and the Bulldogs' Josh Reynolds were brought into the squad yesterday (Wednesday) with Daley deciding that Reynolds was the man to fill the void on the Blues' bench.

Gallen feels pain of Souths star who fell just short of mark

One of the first players John Sutton saw after Blues coach Laurie Daley told him he had missed a spot in Origin I was captain Paul Gallen. The NSW front-rower informed South Sydney's five-eighth, the Blues' 18th man, he had been there before.

''Laurie told him and then came and told me,'' Gallen said. ''I went and saw him but there's not much you can say.

''In my first Test match I had to pull out with an injury and I can remember how upset I was. I can relate a little bit to how he is feeling. So I just thought I'd make sure he comes around the team and, hopefully, he will be around the change rooms on the night and feels what it is like because it's a long series. We will be making sure he comes back into camp.

''He will be at the game and on the sideline with us. At the end of the day we're all about the team and getting a result. I don't think John Sutton will be wishing us harm. He's still a NSW bloke and he will be wanting us to win.''

Gallen had a feeling Daley would opt for Sutton. He clearly feels Sutton is an Origin player-in-waiting, yet also believes Josh Reynolds, the Bulldogs five-eighth who was chosen ahead of Sutton, is ready. He came to that conclusion after watching the addition to the interchange at training on Thursday morning at Coogee Oval.

''It's just the little things,'' Gallen said. ''When a kick goes down the field, he really takes off and sprints down there. I think he does that in a game too. He is a terrier-type player and he is going to rip in. He brings a lot of energy. I'm sure coming off the bench he will do a great job. He has probably picked up a lot of skill in his game the last year or two. [But] his biggest attributes are his competitiveness and energy.''

Twitter farce as Josh Reynolds wins place on bench NSW bench
BY:BRENT READ From: The Australian May 31, 2013 12:00AM

AND the winner is ... confusion and embarrassment. After all the toing-and-froing over whether Josh Reynolds or John Sutton should come into the Blues side for the opening game of the State of Origin series, the decision descended into farce late yesterday when the team's governing body - the NSW Rugby League - announced the wrong winner.

As NSW coach Laurie Daley prepared to take his place before the waiting microphones to reveal which of the pair would take Kurt Gidley's place on the interchange bench at ANZ Stadium next week, someone jumped the gun. A television news channel claimed Sutton had won the day.

A bonfire started on Twitter. The NSWRL's Twitter feed announced Sutton. The deluge prompted South Sydney's website to post a story congratulating Sutton. There was one problem - and a big one at that. Daley had actually opted for Reynolds.

Sutton had been sent back to play for South Sydney against Newcastle before rejoining the squad on Sunday as 18th man. Social media went into meltdown. The red-faced NSWRL was forced to offer an apology to Sutton and his family for the mistake.

"Members of the media team read news reports that John had been selected and, with the need to be timely on social media, tweeted the incorrect information," the statement said.

"Once again, we would like to apologise to John and his family, NSW VB Blues fans and South Sydney fans for our error."

The blunder overshadowed the elevation of Reynolds to Origin. Reynolds and Sutton were forced to sweat both on and off the field before Daley put them out of their misery.

The pair trained with the NSW squad yesterday morning in Sydney's eastern suburbs before Daley headed back to the team hotel to consider his decision.

He eventually plumped for Reynolds, although there is no guarantee he will get on the field. Reynolds spent most of yesterday's training session at hooker but Daley said the expectation was that Robbie Farah would play 80 minutes.

"It's amazing, you talk to one guy and then you talk to the other and they get quite emotional," Daley said.

"It's a big decision. We were confident either way and it took us a while to come up with Josh because John had some attributes that we thought we may have been unable to use.

"But to have cover at hooker, and not have too many disruptions if something went wrong with Robbie, in the end swung it in Josh's favour.

"He'll play that type of role where he doesn't know where he'll go on, he doesn't know what time he'll go on or how many minutes he'll get.

"He's just got to be ready.

"The plan is to play Robbie for 80 minutes."

Canterbury coach Des Hasler added: "He won't let anyone down. You all see the way he plays each week."

NSW captain Paul Gallen endorsed the decision, but spoke to Sutton to make sure he would be in camp once his commitments with the Rabbitohs were over.

"Either way, someone was going to be really upset and I feel really sorry for John Sutton," Gallen said.

"The Reynolds thing came a bit out of the blue because Sutto was heavily spoken about.

"He is going to do a great job. He is that type of player, isn't he? He is a terrier-type player and he is going to rip in. He brings a lot of energy. Coming off the bench, he'll do a great job.

"That's his biggest attribute - his competitiveness and energy on the field. That's something you need in Origin."

Daley also moved to ensure Sutton would continue to be part of the squad.

"He was extremely disappointed," Daley said. "You could see it in his face. He's been around for a long time and obviously wanted to play State of Origin. It's never easy telling anyone that news.

"But John will be in camp with us if he comes through the game injury-free this weekend.

"He was disappointed and that's what you want from your players."

Canterbury playmaker Josh Reynolds has edged out John Sutton to grab the final place in Laurie Daley's Blues side amid a bizarre social media c**k-up that anointed the South Sydney five-eighth and embarrassed officials.

Daley appeared at a news conference in Sydney on Thursday afternoon and confirmed Reynolds had got the nod as replacement for the injured Kurt Gidley. Unbeknown to the first-year NSW coach, however, it had been widely reported minutes before that Sutton had been preferred to play at ANZ Stadium next Wednesday.

Sutton's apparent endorsement on a television news channel lit up social media, and was then given more weight when his supposed selection was announced on Twitter by the NSW Rugby League official account. The news was incorrectly repeated on social media, news sites, on television and even on the Rabbitohs' website before the issue was set straight by Daley.

''The NSWRL would like to apologise for a miscommunication that incorrectly named John Sutton as the 17th man for the NSW VB Blues,'' the NSWRL said later.

''Members of the media team read news reports that John had been selected and, with the need to be timely on social media, tweeted the incorrect information.

''Once again, we would like to apologise to John and his family, NSW VB Blues fans, and South Sydney fans for our error.''

Sutton told Souths officials he had no issue with the gaffe. But he was disappointed to have his Origin dream again put on hold.

''He was extremely disappointed, you could see it in his face,'' Daley said. ''He's been around for a long time and obviously wanted to play State of Origin. It's never easy telling anyone that news. But John will be in camp with us if he comes through [the Souths'] game injury-free this weekend.''

On the flipside, Reynolds, chosen for his ability to cover for hooker Robbie Farah, could not wipe the smile from his face.

''It's amazing - you talk to one guy and then you talk to the other and they get quite emotional,'' Daley said. ''It's a big decision. We were confident either way and it took us a while to come up with Josh because John had some attributes that we thought we may have been able to use. Blues captain Paul Gallen admitted he had been slightly surprised Reynolds had been preferred but was confident the 24-year-old Bulldogs five-eighth could make an impact on debut.

''Either way someone was going to be really upset and I feel really sorry for John Sutton,'' Gallen said. ''The Reynolds thing came a bit out of the blue because Sutto was heavily spoken about.

''He is going to do a great job. He is a terrier-type player and he is going to rip in, he brings a lot of energy. Coming off the bench, he will do a great job.''

As a Queenslander I'll be proud to be cheering on my Queensland Rabbitohs. Not having Sutto in makes it so much easier to will them to win.
