5'9 90 kg even in local football on the weekend is too small, trust me.. even down to open 2s and 3s...

Anywhere in the backline and you will be fine...

If you're 90kgs now, you'll probably be a bit leaner than that after a few weeks of pre-season training.

You're either going to be a smallish back rower or a small to average sized centre.

Other option if you have a decent passing game is that you can slot into Hooker. A high work rate never goes amiss there.

Back row, you'll probably slot straight in without having to learn too much. Centre, you'll need to learn a bit about your spacing, defending numbers, when to come in or stay out.

Hooker, you'll have to learn heaps. It's one of the most technical positions in the game.

Basically... It comes down to how much you'd like to have to learn.

Give it a miss tubby and stick to Union.

You bragging about having a good work-rate in Union means that you'll be about as useful as the ballboy taking the field in the number 9 jersey for The Storm in their next home game.

You've lost everything of value in your time playing Union. Speed, fitness, guile, ball-skills, these are no longer things that you possess and you can never get them back. All you have left is a body suited to Rugby Union and a Rugby League skilllset that would be embarrassing in an ESA Under 7 Red jersey on opening day at Escholl Park.

The only things you learnt in Union is how to wobble and look busy and how to drink and eat pretentiously. You wasted years of your life and you can never get them back.

Give up.

The most elaborate "get f**ked" I have ever read.

Take a bow.

I'd say back row or hooker. 5'9/90kgs isn't too small for Amateur Rugby League in the forwards provided you have good fitness and mobility.

Thank you. Edge forward as in second row? I used to play more of a ball playing role at loose forward and I’ve been playing fly half/centre in Union. A couple of lads in the Union team do the same switch over summer and they’ve said that stand off will probably suit me best.

I’m fit in relation to my union team but like you say there’s a big difference between that and league, not sure whether to leave it a few weeks first before going training to try and get some more sessions in on my own.

Don’t undersell yourself. I know you are humble AF, but I think you’re the next Grant Rovelli or Andrew Johns.

No it isn't. How much local football have you seen? 2 of our first grade backrowers are about that size including the captain.
