Switching positions during a match

is it possible to move a player from one position to another during a match? even though players are brought onto the field and they may be a forward and i want to switch a winger to fullback, the winger may be listed right at the top of the player list but still has RW as his position :?

I have also encountered this problem. Its a real pain in the arse. St George have four forwards on the bench! What am I going to do if Nathan Blacklock gets injured? Replace him with John Cross? I know Nathan Brown has been willing to put up with that scenario in the past but I am not!
There must be a way to re-shuffle the positions.

Mario told me a while ago you could reshuffle positions, but I don't know for sure thanks to bloody GPstore...

You cant reshuffle positions except from the bench. So if you replace Blacklock with John Corss, Cross will be on the wing. But if this bothers you, dont pick four forwards on the bench.

It is very annoying. Stacey Jones got injured so I wanted to put Hohia into halfback and Faumuina into 5/8, only I couldn't. Hohia stayed at 5/8 and I had to put Faumuina into halfback.

George_Illa....i'm not sure if you've noticed this or not, but you can edit your team's line-up completely if you want to. When you are in the change line-up screen, scroll down all the way and there are a bunch of other players there, so if you want, you can put John Wilshere, Hassan Saleh or Dean Byrne on the bench if you really wanted to.

If you already knew this..then....sorry?

just using this as an example...
could you:

sub faumunia for hohia, so hohia is on the bench, then sub jones for hohia....

i dont know whether that would work or not......would it?

And plus he said Jones was injurred, so you have to sub him straight away. I was going to suggest this, but then I re-read his post.

yeah, mis read that

Yep I've used all 12 interchanges but only because I was playing around.

15 min game 4 interchanges after 4 mins another 2 just before HT. 4 more 3 mins into the 2nd half and the final 2 with 2 mins left on the clock

I've found interchange really isn't necessary unless you play a 40 minute game or you have guys with 4 fitness (I hate having to sub Hindmarsh off). Sometimes they just can't sprint anymore, and then they need a rest. Other than that when they drop a few balls in a short space of time, give them a spell.

Thanks heaps. I didn't know that and I appreciate your help. My bench is looking far more balanced now.
