The days of the Swans playing finals games at ANZ Stadium must surely be nearing an end. They no longer get the crowds to justify moving from the SCG. They are the premiers and have played some of the most popular VFL teams at the venue this year and 38k seems to be the limit.

I think once the SCG redevelopment is done, it will hold 45K which is enough for the Swans in the finals. So next year, really, they should play all thier games at the SCG.

Although if one of the games last night went to ANZ stadium, it would still be more than half empty

And once that contract is up it's bye bye AFL from ANZ Stadium. Or at least it should be.

...and then back to business as usual with Sydney NRL clubs wishing they could get 37k to ANZ Mark II like the Swans.

37,980 to be exact. Same figure as Swans v Hawks just a fortnight ago. Something suss there.

...and then back to business as usual with Sydney NRL clubs wishing they could get 37k to ANZ Mark II like the Swans.

Like say, the Rabbitohs getting FIFTY NINE THOUSAND just over a week ago?

Or the Bulldogs getting FIFTY ONE THOUSAND at Easter?

Meanwhile, roll on the vast majority of absolutely shithouse crowds that echo around ANZ II next year. At least you know what mediocrity means. And you revel in it.
