Tracey McGrady has announced he has retired from the NBA. Man, what can you say about T-Mac. In his prime he was one of the best players and one of the best to watch, he could do it all. I know the last few years were nothing to talk about but he deserves to be remembered for what he did in his prime, one of the most gifted talents you'll ever see.

T-Mac always reminds me of this quote from Blade Runner.

"A candle that burns twice as bright burns for half as long"

I think he will always be remembered for that quote about making the 2nd round when he didn't make the 2nd round..

Great player in his prime. Shame him and Yao couldn't stay fit

He will retire a Spurs legend

Shame about his injuries, could have been one of the best if he had a bit of luck. Was disappointed he couldn't get ring this year among other reasons.

T-mac stood out on a basketball court as freakishly more talented than everyone else like only mj before him imo. There have been better players but it was through work ethic or determination or effort or some other boring attribute, t-mac just drew in your gaze with every jump shot, there was something otherworldly about his talent. I think with his 13 points in 30 seconds you basically saw what level he was on. Basically a single man better than a great nba team, but he was a fickle troubled artist of a player, he'd get inspired to try to win randomly, and otherwise just play amazingly with no effort and maybe win or not.
