T Sheens - "I am not going to Panic"

Didn't take long for our esteemed super coach to wield out that old saying. Heard it mid way through last season when we were clearly on the slide. Super Coach as we all know puffed out his chest, claiming he would not be forced into rushed changes or listen to anyone else. As we know he changed nothing, kept slecting under performing players and we ended up being uncompetative for the next three months.

Heard the saying after Marshall had conceeded about 5 tries in 2 games on the wing. Some jorno had the absolute hide to question T Sheens about this tactic and supercoach went on a tirade about how he wouldn't be panicking and how he wouldn't allow paper talk to pick his side. The next 2 weeks poor old Benji let in another 3 or 4 tries stranded like a sitting duck on the wing.

The Actual translation for the now infamous T Sheens " I am not going to panic" should be

T Sheens - "My ego is too big for my own good"

I don't know coach perhaps it time to panic considering

* The teams you have coached have made the finals ONCE in your past 10+ season
* You have had just ONE winning season outof 6 at the Wests Tigers
* You have a defensive coach that has a record of conceeding 25+ pointsper game
* we have won 23 of 52 games since winning the Grand Final
* We have had a mediocre utility playing Halfback for over a year
* You have signed a stack of reserve grade backrowers

When will the penny drop?

It won't. He will drop a winger or bench player and it will be more of the same.
We all saw how his ego cost the side last year, and he capped it off with the Jeffrey situation, and it will cost us again this year
He is lucky the bulk of our fans are geniused dopes who'd give soufs fans a run for their money

No need for panic.

Some positional changes in the correct region of the park would be nice though

You won't think it's time to panic that supercoach has not made "some positional changes in the correct region of park (Number 7 hint hint) for over a year??

in his years with us he has purchased two halfbacks (That's not including Morris for obvious reasons)

Now when you have an injury prone player like Benji in the halves, wouldn't you focus on having some depth in that area, rather than buying more centres/backrowers/wingers when it's fairly clear we have a f**king abundance of players for those positions?

I'll give him credit where it's due, but of late it's not due. He has an absolute gun player in Farah, and he plays him til he completely breaks down through injuries, to try and ensure the team remains competitive. As soon as he's ruled out the team performs like it did last night, or worse.

Farah as great as he is, is only one man and can only do so much. He needs some dependable halves. To be honest, they don't even need to be the world's best halves, just dependable, someone who can kick and pass to take a lot of pressure of Farah.

Benji can pass, but his kicks are woeful, and Morris struggles to achieve both. This, coupled with under performing forwards who struggle to make much ground, or get off-loads away means the forwards have to bust their arses more than any other side to get some momentum, because if they don't make say 40 metres each set, our kicks aren't going to accomodate for them, putting the defense under immense pressure.

Then the next 2-3 sets are played in our half.

If Morris must play, either put him at Centre, or put him at Lock. Take some pressure off him. From what I've seen, he chokes big time under the smallest amounts of pressure. If his job was made easier, and more within his capabilities, maybe we'd perform a hell of a lot better.

Next season, I don't care if we miss out on buying a stack of players, if we can purchase one decent five eighth and a decent halfback, the team can start taking pressure off itself after every set.

Head broke down again in the Wests Magpies rehab session by all reports. So I doubt there will be a change in the jersey this week either

He wouldn't have been picked regardless, Smeg. You know it.

Morris will be in the #7 jersey for the rest of the season, barring injury.
