Does anybody else find our forwards don't tackle effectively enough. They go too high every tackle and we need the first player in to go low. We would get more dominate tackles and not allow as many surging runs from opposition forwards this way.

In a 3 man gang tackle, first man should go for the legs, second should hit the stomach/ribs, third man takes the chest.

I think the defensive coach has watched one too many Old Pea Beau commercials

Hit 'em high... hit 'em low... hit 'em with the old pea beau

I've always believed one tackler, arm wrapped firmly around the head will nearly always stop em in their tracks

I remember as a kid we were told "they can't run without legs"....well they can't run with a sevre concussion either

On the flip side of that, as a ball runner, I've always been told that if they swing an arm at your head, nod your head into it and break their arm....
