BAD LUCK.

Kiwis have had to put up for this for years in Australia e.g. - the Warriors and the Breakers . Same as Welsh teams in England.

yeah but what kind of spastics play that kind of shit over the loud speakers. i havent heard anything of it, but it'd be pretty unfair on any team, anywhere, whether relevant or not.

Yeah there's a difference between drunken idiots in the crowd saying it and the ground announcer saying it. If it's true then the appropriate action would probably be either to sack the guy if he was solely behind it, or if he was advised to do it from higher up then fine Rugby SA or whoever it is who would be responsible for those types of issues.

wow, who cares.
if my memory serves me right when the warriors were playing the roosters in the NRL final didnt the NRL put a add in the paper saying 'the only thing worse then a QLDR is a KIWI'
to me thats NSW arrogance so they can stop being twinkies and take it like men.
weve been putting up with aussie bullshit for years.
after aussie knocked us out of the world cup they were on tv shows mocking the haka.
good job i say!!

I think the difference tho Shiznit is that one is humour in taking the p!ss and the other was just abuse. Trust me when I say as a kiwi I get tired of the crap that gets dished out to us from the Aus media and fan but atleast I know its in good humour. NSW has a right to complain. I am not sure if you have read the article in SMH today but there was an article in there and it stated that the Bulls mascot was walking around with a carrot up the back end of a sheep. Thats just bad taste you wouldnt see that from within in Aus or NZ.

The ground announcer also personally insulted Mat Rogers while he was playing over the loud speaker...something about his hairstyle and then ridiculed him when he got injured.

I wonder if, when the Jaapie teams tour here in Australia, and we have the ground announcer taunt "Bities Botha" and call the team a bunch of racist rednecks...do you think the SA teams would be annoyed.

...btw, has anyone noticed the South African male's attraction to really bad facial hair...namely moustaches? I saw a glimpse of the crowd on the weekend and noticed far too many kiddie fiddler 'taches for my liking.

Coming from Rebecca Wilson, I'll go for the BS angle...

I think that a ground announcer saying that kind of thing is just not on... it's inciting hatred.

SA is weird in realtion to their rugger, they will do ANYTHING to win and bugger the consequences. I applaud an Aussie being called a sheep shagger for a change but agree it is a bit over the top in this instance.

I don't think being called a sheep shagger is humourous whether its from the ground announcer or from an Australian in the general public. I've been here 4 years, love certain parts of it - hate that but. I've heard the same jokes 47,000 times. After a while, when the same people rabbit on about it you come to the conclusion they're either brainless or borderline racists.

I do find it ironic the Australians have made a big hoo hah about it given the poor taste they show to New Zealanders both living in this country and abroad. You've got to take as good as you give.

Pretty rich coming from an Australian, there's far too many blokes in this country who want to be Merv Hughes.
