The title to this thread is the WORST EVER. Seriously Spartan.
There has been talk for years now that there is racism in the NSW camp.
Blacklock and mundine when they were at the peak of their powers were never considered. And when chock was chosen it was off the bench as a second hooker. Then elmasri. When he was at his peak and kicking 35 goals in a row was never chosen. Then you see what happen with Farah in game one last year. The whole NSW team play bad and he gets dropped. Game one this year saw ennis do no different to Farah in game one last year. Why wasnt he dropped.

This is why NSW will never win a series again.

Think about some of the entertainers of the competition in the past.

Tingha Blacklock for one was a try scoring sensation and entertained supporters of all clubs for years. He wasn't a one hit wonder, he backed up his ability season after season and what did he get in return from the NSW selectors? f**kin nothing. Meanwhile average toilers like Albert, Matt Geyer got starts in front of him.

Say what you want about Mundine but he deserved to play more rep footy. Pure and simple. But whether he was outplaying the likes of Fittler of Daley was always going to be irrelevant. The team has and always will be picked on reputation.

Peachey was another one.

And Preston Campbell another one. Dally M player of the year but can't get within striking distance of that elusive rep jumper.

And the sh*t is still goin on. Michael Jennings can't get a decent crack at centre when he is an excitement machine.

Like Coops has mentioned, Farah and El Masri limited games as well.

Now we can hear the tiresome arguments from the NSW selectors that the players like Tingha and Preston were/are not big enough for Origin and perhaps some people can give them the benefit of the doubt. As a side argument, that line of thinking is proven flawed anyway by QLD picking entertainers as opposed to the big robotic bores that NSW select and dominating accordingly.

It's not hard to see why others draw correlations with a race issue because of all these ommissions.

How many origin games would the above players play if they were QLDers?

Ask yourself and answer honestly. That's why my indifference to the Blues and Origin in general started years ago.

Mate Farah got dropped because he was a passenger, using that as a example of racism in NSW camp is ridiculous. What does the Tahu situation have to do with what happened with Mundine and Blacklock, Tahu's always been selected whenever he's been in the NRL.

At the end of the day Johns has carried on and said something he should'nt have, Yes Tahu is well in his right to reply however he likes, in reality in how the world is with this sort of sh*t, he's over reacted like big fairy and should be ashamed, thats MY opinion, i'm entitled to it.

You're a goose.

Tahu hasn't overreacted to what has happened. He's taken a stand on an issue and essentially drawn a line in the ground to state that 'This cannot continue.' Good on him, and I'd put what he has done in the same vein as Dennis Tutty's court case in the 60's. He's making a stand and hopefully the game will change for the better and this rubbish will be removed.

You then add to you post with heresay and claim it's a point. Why the hell would Tahu be jealous of Scott?! So what that he got moved from centre to wing; he still made the team and played most of his early career in Origin on the wing as well.

Your post is dribble.

Why dont you stop agreeing? make a point to discuss you sheep...

Yes, I haven't made a point to discuss at all, have I...

I think that Tahu is an emotional bloke who said what had to be said for the sake of his kids and frankly for that matter mine too. I want them to know that racism or group disparagement of any kind (with the possible exception of Manly supporters) is stupid and just plain wrong. I frankly think that he should be paid his fee for playing the game (SOO 2) by the ARL, to underpin perceptions regarding their understanding of his rationale.

I feel sorry for the John’s family too, with the two boys bringing shame on them in recent times and wonder what part of their culture be it locale, school or more likely footy stardom at an early age that seems to have made them so inconsiderate regarding the feelings of others, particularly the weak or marginalised.

Billy Slater’s attitude toward depression is up their with John’s comments. Anthony Mundine however must have the world’s biggest chip on his shoulder and I often think does more harm than good for his people and culture.

I wholeheartedly endorse the sentiments expressed by the majority of contributors to this thread regarding the quality of the initial post.

i think it is because it provides a direct relation to their skin colour & is insinuating that they are a 'merkin' (god i hate that word) simply because of the colour of their skin..

if someone is going to be called a merkin, it sould be because of they way they act, not because of the colour of their skin..

Why did you need to quote me twice for. didnt you read the whole thing before the first post.

Your argument is CRAP. Tahu did the right thing. NSW was crying for someone to be MAN ENOUGH to step out and fight against what goes on in the origin camp. Maybe this will bring the change we needed.

Johns has brought the game down before. Best player tag should be taken off him and he should be taken away from the game for good. The game is just about to get a MASSIVE shake up from the ABC Four Corners program. It could possibly bring the game down to some really low levels. We dont need sh*t like this happening every week. Johns is someone who WAS respected amoung his peers and and the game itself. He needs to be made accountable for his actions.

I hope this thread stays open so everyone can see how stupid it is. I have been called every racist comment under the sun. (im Australian/lebanese). I never keep my mouth shut to any of it. I will fight back everytime. If your to chicken to do so then thats your problem.

Well according to MG , Larrry Corowa and Muhammad Ali have bought into the big issue...Corowa will now just be called "the Flash" and Ali just "the Superman".....

This is just getting ridiculous now

Channel 9 have now sacked Johns and the Daily Telegraph will suspend him indefinitely later today.

Times have changed , Kingswood Country was a great show as were many others back in those days.

Can anyone explain why the NSW selected chose to replace Tahu with a "white" person in Monahan when they could have picked Merritt or Jennings and prove that they (the selectors) weren't racist as well ?

And why was Tahu the only indigenous player with enough courage to take a stance ?

Johns would not have stood down if Tahu sooked over being picked on the wing. He stood down cause he actually regretted saying what he did and want's to show he is not racist.
