Well that same inept coaching staff got us to the GF qualifier last year. We came 3rd on 2007. Do you remember ?

I agree, at this point, you cant blame the board, but I also agree where you say Hagan got it very wrong, and it's clear he has gotten it very very wrong for next year as well when you look at the retention and recruitment, or lack of in both departments.

This is where the board need to show some balls. If he aint sacked, and we have another poor season next year, then the board are in the firing line IMO

As much as you all will groan when I say this, I think that the board (including DF) should not be in the firing line here. Facts are that there is a highly paid coach and a number of high profile (and well paid as well) players who are responsible for giving away cheap penalties, offering poor ball security and a soft defensive line.

You are wrong , who paid overs for the coach and some of the people we retained and currently on contract one DF, nothing happens without his approval and look what paying overs has achieved, f**k all but pain.

Hagan is a donkey of a coach, completely uninspiring with no answers. Tactically and motivationally a non event.

The sooner this pretender and his inept bunch are f*cked off out of here the better.

Yeah, I agree.

The Board hired them and we had a successful (enough) season last year to justify it.

However the Board must performance manage their contracted staff, and this year's performance is enough for Hagan and several of his staff to be performance managed out of the joint, in my opinion. (And yes there are some under-performing and hence overpaid players that could deem themselves lucky to not be traded early elsewhere.)

If the Board fail to take decisve action in performance managing their appointments as a result of this season's performances - and if the outlook for next season is so grim because those very appointments have ties up all the momeny in guys they can't get the best out of - then we can rightfully get angry with the Board in 2009 - which happens to be in the lead up to their Board elections...
