Maybe channel 9 will by News Ltd's share. That would bemuse some people.

So if they are a publicly listed company, how does the opening article relate? Are NL the dominant shareholder?

The only shareholder?

Cause if there are multiple shareholders, any sale won't bring massive changes any time soon...

I think I saw that they are the majority share holder and own more than half the group.

This is hardly alarming. The Broncos make a healthy profit. Anyone who buys them won't have to do much. Entirely different proposition to the Storm.

You buy the Storm if you want to own a team.

You buy the Broncos if you want to make money.

And what is out there for the discerning buyer who wishes not for neither of these two options?

too bad all those annual profits from brisbanes sole NRL side gets taken out of the game and into the pockets of fat cats.
