In Premier League Junior Paolo, Richard Fa'aso and Weller Hauraki all had great games in the forwards. When they were on we were dangerous and making quite easy metres.

I also thought Blake Green played quite well. Everyone's wet dream Inu was quiet I feel he was out played by his centre partner Tautaui (?spelling).

And for anyone that watched the game, poor McConkie. Talk about your nervous starts.

Like I was saying at the game this U20 youth comp is going to hurt us. We have quite a few players that are promising and unless they make grade this year and the 25 man NRL squad for next year they are not going to stay unless they want to play Jim Beam Cup. I just don't see all of them staying.

Taulima Tautai.

Had a very good game. Remarkable rise for the young fellow who this time last year was playing SG Ball.

Jim Beam Cup and Premier League will still run as two competitions however Parramatta is looking to create a partnership with one of the Jim Beam Cup clubs to enter into Premier League and play them as the feeder club similar to what St Marys did with Penrith.

Can't provide a link to the article but it appeared in last weeks Advertiser.

That is what I am referring to. I don't think Premier League will be as strong a competition and I doubt these guys are going to want to play for Seven Hills or Guildford in a weaker competition. It will be harder for them to make grade when everyone will question their form against weak opposition.

the same rule will apply across every other NRL club, any fringe firstgrader over the age of 20 will have to turn out for their clubs feeder sides.

It will still be - Premier League, Under 20's comp, Jim Beam Cup. Froim what I understand the clubs had similar question marks over the strength of the Jim Beam competition and have effectively voted to keep it for next year at least. Parramatta however will not field a team in the PL but are looking for the likes of Seven Hills, Cabramatta, Wentworthville, Mounties etc to field a team in Premier League to whom the players will be distributed. The only two teams looking at doing that at this stage are Parramatta and the Dragons. It shouldn't impact on the level of play at this stage.

Tautai was better then Inu on Friday. I really like the look of him, although his probably another that I don't see breaking through right now.

we're still not certain whether 1 or more clubs will be used...in an ideal world I'd like to see us using 1 JB cup club only, but it appears that the football club don't want to tread on any toes when it comes to making a decision.
