Had a very good game. Remarkable rise for the young fellow who this time last year was playing SG Ball.
Jim Beam Cup and Premier League will still run as two competitions however Parramatta is looking to create a partnership with one of the Jim Beam Cup clubs to enter into Premier League and play them as the feeder club similar to what St Marys did with Penrith.
Can't provide a link to the article but it appeared in last weeks Advertiser.

I don't think Premier League will be as strong a competition and I doubt these guys are going to want to play for Seven Hills or Guildford in a weaker competition. It will be harder for them to make grade when everyone will question their form against weak opposition.

The Colonel said:It will still be - Premier League, Under 20's comp, Jim Beam Cup. Froim what I understand the clubs had similar question marks over the strength of the Jim Beam competition and have effectively voted to keep it for next year at least. Parramatta however will not field a team in the PL but are looking for the likes of Seven Hills, Cabramatta, Wentworthville, Mounties etc to field a team in Premier League to whom the players will be distributed. The only two teams looking at doing that at this stage are Parramatta and the Dragons. It shouldn't impact on the level of play at this stage.
