I know it's wishful thinking, but I'd love to see Hagan bite the bullet and make some changes following our recent run of performances. There's some guys who are burnt out and they need a break.

1: Nathan Hinton
2: Brian Carney
3: Matthew Gidley
4: George Carmont
5: Bradley Tighe
6: Kurt Gidley
7: Andrew Johns (c)
8: Craig Smith
9: Danny Buderus
10: Josh Perry
11: Steve Simpson
12: Kirk Reynoldson
13: Daniel Abraham

14: Luke Davico
15: Adam Woolnough
16: Riley Brown
17: Chris Bailey

that probably is hagan bitting the bullet dropping lowrie for hinton and tanner for simpson. Not realy what i would call bitting the bullet. In saying that the only change i would make is lowrie for bailey, i dont no how anyone could be mad enough to have bailey infront of lowrie.

I don't rate Lowrie or Tanner - they're both just average first graders and have been for as long as they've been there. Bailey may not be outplaying either of them now, but he's improving every week.

So you have just told me he isnt as good as either of them, i agree thats why lowrie should be in the side ahead of him

Yes he is improving let him do it in premier league. An when, if at all it happens an bailey is the better player drop lowrie or tanner then.

I think lowrie has improve heaps this year, an could realy develope into a very good player, just look at what clint newton did. There is a player who realy turned his career around.

Todd Lowrie will not be the next Clint Newton. He's far more likely to be the next Matt Kennedy.

Bailey is capable of adeptly covering more positions than Lowrie (who, despite Hagan's insistence otherwise, can still only cover the back row), and is producing good stats in very little game-time.

And I didn't say Lowrie or Tanner were better than Bailey - I said he wasn't outplaying either of them. I also didn't say that either of them were outplaying him. But thanks for playing.

EDIT: I'd probably remove someone like Davico or Woolnough, actually. Tolar deserves to be there.

Tolar should be in the side ahead of Tanner, Bailey, Reynoldson, and at this stage Abes (still not quite there, good signs last night though). Hagan will trot out an identical team to this weeks you watch. Kidley will have another chance to confirm what is already obvious (he can't play fullback) and we'll get Lowrie back at 5/8th. I'd almost put my house on it.

This is the team Hagan will name

1. Kidley
2. Brian Carney
3. Matt Gidley
4. George Carmont
5. Anthony Quinn/Tighe depending on Quinns fitness
6. Todd Lowrie
7. Andrew Johns
8. Craig Smith
9. Danny Buderus
10. Josh Perry

12. Clint Newton
13. Reegan Tanner

*EDIT* Oops I forgot Reynoldson, remove Bailey and install Reyno. Though Reyno started last week so he'll prob start next week and Newton to the bench. That's the way it works isn't it??

Lets see how wrong I am, barring unknown injuries I guarantee that's what we see.

Not Lowrie at five-eight. If Lowrie is named at five-eight Tony, I think I'll cry.

I think lowrie has been playing well this year, its not his fault he has been selected at 5/8. Imo he has been better then reynoldson, tanner brown and bailey.

If i told you at the start of 2004 how much newton would improve an that he would be selected for country an be in the running for origin (barring injury) you would have laughed.

I would like to see this team play against the Bulldogs

1. Hinton
2. Carney
3. Gidley
4. Tighe
5. Quinn
6. Kidley
7. Johns
8. Smith
9. Buderus
10. Perry
11. Simpson
12. Newton
13. Reynoldson
--
14. Woolnough
15. Tolar
16. Abraham
17. Lowrie

I know Tolar wont make the team but I really hope he does, he's probably been our 3rd best front rower this year and last.

Lowrie offers a bit more metres and is better in defence compared to Brown IMO.
