Would love to see Jamie Theoharous play lock in first grade sometime next year. Hopefully he bulks up and has a very good off season. Very talented ball playing lock who is a great tackler and can play the full 80.

8.Civoniceva
9.Iosefa
10.Grant
11.Pritchard
12.Waterhouse
13.Theoharous

14.F.Puletua
15.L.Lewis

Then Woolnough, Moors,Smith,McKendry,Paulo,Blackett,Leeds,Hlad, Penese,Nuumaali etc can battle for the final two spots.

Just curious, why would Grant start ahead of Puletua? The only thing he has over him is youth, Puletua has outplayed him by far.

Puletua has been one of our best this year, coming off the bench. I believe he is best suited in that role, so i dont want to change something thats successful. Whilst Grant is more of a worker who will be more suited to a starting role. Thats just my opinion, chances are you wont agree:D

Maxwell was absolutely diabolical. I'm surprised he left the ground with his car intact as the crowd around me where baying for his blood. I noticed quite a few forward passes from both sides that weren't pulled up. Fair dinkum, what does the touchies do?

Maybe I was a little critical on Jennings as it was that whole left side defence of Gower, Pritchard, Jennings and Daniela that all contributed to those tries. Gower and Jennings both with really bad one on one misses.

Daniela really dissapointed me with his kick returns as well. If he returned the ball with the same intensity as Sammut he would have busted the line a few times. But he gets to the line and surrenders meekly.

Pritchard is Pritchard. At his best he is easily our best player but twinkle toes didn't do much at all after his first try. Smith and Cross toil hard but should not be in our top 17 next year.

Sammut has the heart of a lion. I think if he can put a good 5 kgs on he will be one of our best players.

Jennings is a good player but he stuffed up big time....You guys rate him as I do but I can't belive you want to pin it on Daniella for not coming in...On 5th tackle a centre needs to be on the wing... We play 17 on 17... Either he needed to stay on his side of the field or someone needed to take his place in the defensive line...

And the funny thing is that some people wanted to hnag williams a few weeks back for missing a tackle on the line...Jennings attempt was nothing short of laughable...Plus there was another try earlier in the game where two of our players went in to try and stop the ball from crossing the line and Jennings is just standing there looking at them...

Sammut was great...He has a great ticker...Only problem is I think my judgement is clouded cause I love seeing him smash and get bashed...

Waterhouse was good....Until fulltime rang....He should have held onto the ball both times in extra time...The first one was not needed we were over the 40 and if we didn't have a crack at the point we could have contained them down in their half...That last drop ball just made me throw the remote...

Pritchard...Piss him off...Bring in someone who can play for 80 minutes and defend with some spice...Hell we need a player like Hindmarsh or Lillyman...I don't care how good he is....He goes out week after week takes the easy tries (And thats all they are) and then dissapears...

Nathan Smith is another joke...Is it cause he came from Canberra that he is in the run on??? He is a nuffy...My 80 year old wheelchair ridden grandmother could have done more to the Cowboys attack last night...I'm sick of seeing him give away penalties...

Oh I have a question as well...

Where is Rodney? Is he still with the club? When is Rooney back? How is Tony going and will he stay next year?

I sit reasonably high in the stands down towards the screen end and that angle gave me a perfect view of the ball as waterhouse brought it up before the 2nd time he lost it. To me it looked stripped. Although I conceed the replay, which I haven't seen, could tell a different story.

Smith is useless.

I don't understand how anyone tninks he is good. Can't pass, can't run, can't tackle and can't hold the ball.

What does a coach do with a favourite who has no speed, size or skill?

Play him at lock.

Everyone sees different aspects of the game from where they sit.

I tend to focus on missed tackles rather than tackles made, and also focus on linebreaks rather than metres gained and number of hitups etc.

From where I sat:

Our best: Priddis, Norrie, Puletua, Gower, Jennings, Blair
Average: Pritchard, Grant, Clinton, Gordon, Daniella, Sammut, Lewis, Waterhouse
Poor: Cross, Smith, Wallace

Your problem there is that it only focuses on tackles missed from tackles attempted...Hence it didn't count as a missed tackle when Bowen ran past smith and he didn't do anything.

Jennings doesn't nesscessarily need to be put in the poor column but to put him in the best is laughable...

I go off what I see on the field, not what numbers appear in the statistics after the game. Statistics always have been and always will be a guide, and a guide only to gauge performance.

From what I saw. I thought Jennings was good overall. He got caught out a couple of times in defence, but I've played in the centres in my younger days, and I'll tell you something for nothing.........It's not bloody easy defending in the centres!

I am with fibroboy stats and the tv dont tell you things that happen off the ball like smith not attempting a tackle or why smith is standing in backline play designed for a big guy running.I also sit in the stands.Stats also dont say how many times thurston was offside and not penilised so in short fibro is right

Blair actually remind me a bit of whatuira when he first started playing first grade for us, he just can't figure out when to pass and when to hold onto the ball.

And look how good he turned out.:D

Not too many players can say they won 2 premierships with 2 different clubs in 3 years.

Blair is still finding his feet for sure. I think the kid has a great attitude and seems to love the rough stuff. With Gowie going I think he is first in line to be my next fav player.

Blair reminds me of Terry Hill. He is big, fast, strong with a step and a fend.

Jennings reminds me of Renouf. Fast, turn of speed, step, fend and great attitude.

Now the big one............. Waddell reminds me of Gasnier. Tall, rangey, strong, quick on his feet, great ball skills, aggressive.......

McKendry - Mark Carroll.

There is some great talent coming through. We will finish top 8 next year. i will put cash up right now for anyone that want to take me to task.

Forget the rag. Just get the cash. THE CASH.

I think the Jennings / Blair centres combo could reap some great rewards for the Panthers in the future. I really like what I see from both of them, especially with Jennings.

All of the young players that we have coming through have a ton of talent.

But they had that long before Elliott came along, and have been nurtured along by their respective lower grade coaches, and no matter who would have coached us this season, these players would have pushed to get their spots in first grade, so I just hope that Elliott does not try to take any credit for the discovery or nurturing of these players.

Because if he does it will piss me off no end.

Matt Elliot to his credit wears his heart on his sleeve. He has blooded any number of youngsters this season, so give him some credit. No matter what he has tried it has for one reason or another not worked for him. He is a good coach and I remain confident he can turn things around.
