Best front rower of 2010 on the bench :o:o:o:o

He won't stay there long when the fraud which is Poore is exposed.

Why does everyone seem to bag Poore out? We did pay heaps for him.Looking at his workload he averages over 30 tackles and 100+ meters
It makes sense to start like this for me.Ive always thought fui is more rampant off the bench and if he gets the same minutes does it matter? Can run him wide too : )

surprised poore gets a starting jersey given the lack of pre-season game time he's had. but da knows how to get the most out of fuifui.

we've got a good side, hopefully we'll gel together better than the dragons and chalk up an early win!

I really don't think it matters in todays game, DA has a game plan in place that involves all 17 players including all 4 props who will probably 40 to 50 minutes each...

as for Fritz???...pffft he's the moffo of Parra supporters and you can rest assured that when he bags a player out it will be considered the kiss of death for him, now can someone remind me again how Eric Grothe Junior went in the grand final?

just because he's starting doesn't mean he is guaranteed the first 20 minutes if ando sees he is struggling he will throw fui in

I thought it would be a toss up with Fui & Poore on who started. Fui gives you that go forward early & can help set the tone for the match. Will be interesting to see how Poore goes with Fui coming on after 20. Great looking side thought with the strongest bench in the comp. Let's hope they live up to the hype & having been reading the papers too much.

Go Parra! :D

Poore is the real deal......he will serve Parra and the fans proudly this year......DA and OZZIE can't speak too highly of the guys attitude and attitude in this game is 90% of it.....

The team looks good and balanced.

Very interested to see the combinations that Mortimer, KK, MK and Robson develop. There are plenty of sneaky operators there.

I predict Robson will be the man to give Parra the stability upon which to build in this game and throughout the year. IMO a player like Robson is vital to a consistent, week in, week out perfomance that we will need this year to build a sense of confidence and awe about the team.

In all honesty I think that Robson, in his understated, unspectacular approach is our X factor - and I don't say this tongue in cheek...

I think Fui on the bench is a good idea against the Dragons. They have a rather small in-experienced bench, so when Fui comes on, they should be on aswell. In-experienced players tend to get their head in the wrong place and Fui could well expose that. But Wayne does tend to get his players pretty solid in tackling tactics. Last years semi, Fui was contained rather well by the Dragons, still damaging, but not as much.

Last year we lost alot of momentum when Fui came off.

If Poore and Caylo can lay the platform that Fui and Caylo laid last year, Fui coming on to speed up the action will only be to our advantage.

Same. Reddy is our most versatile player and it's only round 1. Just look at last year, anyone who predicted that as our grand final team this time last year is either an idiot or a genius

Anyone who predicted a Grand Final team for us last year is either a genius or an idiot.

I seem to remember 2008 and how good we looked on paper too.....I will believe the hype when I see it!

For the record though, this team is much, much better than 2008 imo, if only because Finch is gone!!!!!!!

This team is probably a little bit better then our 08 team on paper, but the hype is generally the same for both.

We just came off a year where Burt was brilliant before he got injured, Hayne took over and was just as brilliant, Inu burst onto the scence, Tim Smith and Brett Finch gelled nicely, Mateo came into his own and was compared to SBW and everyone was excited by the prospects of Junior Paulo and Weller Hauraki.

Then we find out that Hayne was going to replace Tahu in the centers with INU, they were hailed as the greatest center pairing since Crow and Ella. And we also had "the next Folau" in Tautai  coming through the ranks. Everyone was also really over rating our younger players in Ant Mitchell, the Keatings, Albert Kelly and Timmy Mannah. Plus Cordoba was supposed to be the long term replacement for Cayless.

I think we are in the exact same situation now except I dont think we are over-rating our juniors as much. (ironically though, now Tahu has come in to replace INU in the centers)

Its amazing how things can change (and can repeat themselves over and over and over)

Lets see what this year brings.

I totally agree with you. If Kris Keating comes on as a hooker, then the combinations will be interesting. Robson can steady things down at half, and Keating can do his own thing at hooker. I can also see the merit in having Keating as a more dynamic half, and switching Robson to hooker at stages in games. I wonder if Robson is nippy enough to play hooker?
