I noticed a few Maltese boys in our Flegg side.
Smith doesn't sound like the name of the chosen people.

If Dylan Brown is worth the $14million he pulls his finger out and actually produces a performance that demands that sort of money.

I can only assume Guymer comes on for Hopgood Doorey is a middle now apparently so will replace Offa or Junior with Matto in the middle.

Guymer can go to the second row if they need to late in the game as well I assume.
I thought Sam Tuivati showed more in the trials than Doorey and Matto to be honest.

Totally agree. Seeing that side on paper now, I’d be very surprised if we make the 8.

As far as I know Volkman is only on a Train and Trial so must have got permission from the NRL to use him? with Moses and Hawkins injured we must not have had any other recognised halves in the top squad?

Better to be cautious when it’s the first game of 7 month season. How can it be possible to select Tago again, after saying that he may end up having a blinder, but he should be nowhere near NRL . He was resigned early so someone must see something that he has yet to deliver. Oo

Somewhat surprised at the omissions, Moretti and Carty in particular as they were OK in the trials and Guymer did struggle .

The upside is possibly that we can watch the game with absolutely no expectation .

I mentioned it a few times now but we've never been able to put our best 17 on the field for at least one game since forever. Most likely we'll have a couple more injuries or suspensions before JAC, Lane and Moses are fit to take the field. When I saw that we were playing the Storm at home for our first outing I thought that someone in NRL head office had it in for us. I don't expect us to win especially after the turmoil and rebuilding season that was 2024. But what I am looking for is a change in how Parra play and back themselves, not only against the Storm but especially over the first month or two. That will give me a better idea on where we're headed.

I assume Morretti is injured. Surely Matalele and Tuivati haven't passed him.
