What a night that was actually I haven't been so happy and pumped getting absolutely drenched walking out of a stadium like i was that night.

If Simmonsons fit next week and Russel is available who gets picked? I feel Simmonson does. Bit of a tough break for Russel. A big game had he played and he may of earned his spot for a bit.

Looking at the final 19 - still with Jake Arthur - it would be a bit rough on any of the forwards named 14-17 to be named/selected but then swapped out of the top 17 to acommodate Jake as the mid-game cover for Hodgson. If that's the intention, it doesn't make sense for that not to have been the up front selection.

The more I think about it, maybe they're planning to try Gutherson as a dummy half ball distributor when Hodgson needs a break - and then he just returns to fullback after the last tackle for defensive set?

I find JA ot being picked more weird now then him being picked past year.

Firstly he is more experienced and stronger. Secondly we have a hooker who is injury prone, old, barely played in 2yrs and can't go 80mins. Yet we pick 4 forwards on the bench.

It's weird because we seemed able to play with 3 forwards on the bench and the 3rd guy getting 8 mins.

I can only think possibly without Matto and Lane who are ok for 80 mins BA isn't sure guys like Bryce,Hopgood,Doorey are.

BA said Doorey isn't ready for 80 mins yet. But the expectation and requirement is he will get there.

yeah, I dont get the leaving JA out too.

I am assuming Hopgood will take over and one of the forwards to take over his role.

I dont understand why everyone says it should be Carty. His passes off the ground are attrocious

I heard that out of all the new guys, only Hopgood and Hodgo were as fit as we would have liked/expected.

Probably some concerns over their ability to go for long stints, hence why Maka and Emu are there.
