Let's face it - if we have any decent footy left in us this year, we don't want to be playing it this Saturday night, nor the Friday after V the Panfers. We hopefully get some troops back for the Finals and that's where we might be able to front up and put a good performance or 2 together. You never know, Cody Walker and Latrell Mitchell might do ACL's before week 2 of the finals, or DCE and Tommy T might have season ender's and we might jag a result somehow in week 2 and go to a Prelim...

This week, I expect a meek showing and wouldn't be surprised if instructions are to play a little within ourselves....if that's possible!

Not sure the stats would agree with you. Over the last 5 years against Melbourne our results have been

W 16 - 12
L 24 - 36 - finals
W 14 - 0 - origin affected
L 0 - 32 - finals
L 10 - 64
L 4 - 20
L 16 - 18 - finals
W 22 - 6 - origin affected

Outside of the games they have played half their reserve grade side, they have mostly beaten us relatively easy.

On the flip side prior to this seasons whitewash, the only really poor showing against Manly was the day of Warmupgate

They lost to the dragons rd 2 (we beat storm rd 2)

and ...Dragons stopped them from going 20 consecutive, We play them going for 20 consecutive

Going into the finals on the back of (likely) only 3 wins from our last 10, and playing the knights coming in off likely 6 wins in a row.

I’ll be there cheering us on, but my confidence will be zip unless we somehow find some way to win tomorrow night and go in with some confidence
