Sounds like you're expecting him to get three tries, make four line breaks and make two try saving tackles to get back into form and you'll be disappointed if he doesn't.

Hoping not expecting.

Not made 4 line breaks in 2 years. Even with space in the 9s, he hardly carved it up. A chance of 2 try savers for sure.

For the record. I was a massive fan of Barba in 2012. Who wouldn't be. Total flop at the Broncs and not much last year with us. Now being talked up like he was Scheck. Very little to substantiate this.

How many of the Pro Barba lobby actually believe he is back or just hope? Or is it just he is a more logical selection than Bird.

If you want logical selections, pick Gall at prop.

Bennett let Hoffman, Norman and Barba go and recruited Boyd. None of the other 3 have gone better than Boyd at FB since.

Flanno has made a rod for his own back by not naming a FB weeks ago.

Flanno hasn't been able to pick a fullback for 18 months. I hope the Barba of old is back, I've spoken to many different players and they've all mentioned how good he has been going. Either way I dont think Bird should be our fullback at all. Its either Barba or Holmes for me and I want both in the team so Barba it is.

All this talk of whether barba should or shouldn't be in the team is pointless. We need to talk about why flanno should never pick those hacks leutele and d Fifita again. Now, those guys suck

I can't begin to imagine how many pages have been taken up by the Bird V Barba discussion. All could be avoided if we had more faith in the coach.

But sadly, not many of us have.

I received a text today, and I'm sure others did,
" Flano has done a good job with the fullback diversion tactics. It's all anybody is talking about."
But what would he be diverting from??

Possibly from the fact that he appears to need help with day to day activities, such as bathing and dressing himself

BEN Barba has won the fullback battle at Cronulla.
The 2012 Dally M medal winner will be named in the no1 jumper for the Sharks daunting road-trip to Townsville, where they will face premiers North Queensland on Saturday night.
Dally M rookie of the year Jack Bird will be named in the centre position by coach Shane Flanagan when he names his side this afternoon with New Zealand Test centre Gerard Beale battling to overcome a hamstring complaint.
Beale faces a final fitness test on Wednesday.
In selecting Bird at centre, Flanagan will form a lethal right-edge combination with winger Valentine Holmes. The duo are no stranger to partnering each other in the backline having dominated together for the Junior Kangaroos.
The experience of Barba at the back over Bird, coupled with his renewed focus on regaining his speed and fitness over a gruelling pre-season, has resulted in Flanagan’s decision.

How do they find out these things before it's actually announced? Who bloody leaks it so quickly to these reporters?
