Moimoi reaches a century
23/03/2010 5:16:18 PM
Pirtek Parramatta Eels enforcer Fuifui Moimoi will celebrate his 100th game in the NRL by returning to the starting side in the Eels Round 3 match against Wests Tigers at Sydney Football Stadium this Friday.
However winger Luke Burt, who celebrated his own milestone last week playing his 200th first grade game, will spend up to three weeks on the sideline with a knee injury.
Krisnan Inu comes onto the wing for Burt, with Moimoi taking the place of Justin Poore in the starting side the only other change.
Burt picked up a knee injury in the Eels comeback win against Manly and was initially hopeful of playing this weekend but further scans have ruled him out for three matches.
This week the spotlight falls on Moimoi who started his career in 2004 with the Eels, playing four games at an average of 21 minutes per game. Last season Moimoi did not miss a match and was the highest try-scorer out of the NRLs props.
Coach Daniel Anderson has watched Moimoi develop from a park footballer in New Zealand and paid tribute to his forwards achievement.
Its great to see Fui has achieved this milestone. Ive known him since before he made his debut, since he was playing park football in New Zealand, Anderson explained.
Its a credit to his commitment that hes reached this point in his career and will run out for his 100th match this weekend.

according to the comment posted by david wilson here http://www.foxsports.com.au/story/0,8659,26884940-5018866,00.htmlgronk said:They have also named 2 reserves. Daniela is a centre and Moors is a backrower
David Wilson says: "The last time they played it was a cracker, with the difference being Benjis ordinary goal kicking. Both sides are hot and cold so far this year, something Tiger fans are used to. The reason the Tigers can win tis, is that Tim Moltzen is back in the 7 jumper. Last year he was the catalyst for the Tigers finals run. He and Benji knocked up making breaks when they played 7 and 6 and they strung together an unbeaten run for the Tigers. When Moltzen was banished to the 1, he was less effective and the Tigers started to lose games. Parras weakness in their lack of options in the centre of the field, they miss Kingston in the 9. Agree the Eels look certainties on paper, but they are not over the line. The Tigers will miss Gareth heaps, but the Tigers by 2."
