Harder than first thought admittedly, and very debateable. Matt Gidley is another centre that can come into calculations given every year barring 2004, the Knights have been in the finals as well as winning in 2001. Ryan Girdler on the back of impressive club form (when not injured) and some blinders at rep level was hard to ignore.

Look forward to seeing the other line-ups.

Great team that one. About the only debatable positions in your team are wing and centre. I've never been fond of Dropsie Tahu ... perhaps i'd have Tuqiri instead. And well im not exactly sure about Vagana and Girdler. I'd probably go for Lyon and Tate. Good to see you picked Wiki ... he's probably one of the hardest hitters in the game and never lets anyone down. I like the guy.

Btw Kiwi ... how can you not split Berrigan and Wing ? Surely ye jest ? Admittedly Wing's form this year hasnt been his best, but he's still very dangerous in any position. Berrigan, on the other hand, couldnt play halfback, 5/8 or hooker if his life depended upon it. Nah he's not that bad j/k  . But he's no way near Wing's class as a utility.

I'd take Utai over Tahu or Tuqiri any day.

Lote is > Utai

Dunno bout you guys but if they defect to Union IMO they shouldn't be eligible, just like if you get suspended you aren't eligible for Dally M team of the year. Besides, I can't agree that tuqiri is better, Matty Utai has become almost unstoppable and on a more consistent basis recently.

point taken about Lote, but he did play 3 yrs of the 00s so he is eligable.

not sure about utai being unstoppable...he sure wasnt unstoppable when he played NQ and Matt Sing. Sing scored 3 tries on him and prevented Utai from scoring one ;-)

Utai was also dropped from 1st grade early in 2004 for bad form. Lote has never been dropped for bad form!

If you must know Beriigan has played halfback and 5/8 in the past and I'm very sure that he could play hooker! Its not as if you need a backup hooker anyway- Buderus can just as easily play 80 minutes!

Yes, but as a half Berrigan is sh!t. Wing on the other hand is a Premiership winning h/b.

Yes I agree Wing is the better hooker, and maybe the better halves player ( kicking wise anyway ), but Berrigan is the better centre, better back row player. Both have their values, and I think they are equally as strong in their own way.
