Probably had more to do with the fact that he was behind a backpedalling tight five though, at that point England had a great scrum and ours was pretty weak.

It would also have something more to do with the fact it was 2003 and he wasn't the number 8. So'oalo was the number 8 and capt invisible was at blindside... Jerry didn't come on until the 73rd minute.

Is there much of a change when a player goes from #11 to #14? The only reason I chose Gerrard was because he played in the #14, and had a monster game against NZ, while Gear was dropped and Paulse was good without ever really being a threat.

Probably the easiest positional swap on the field, pretty much just a matter of same sh*t, opposite side of the paddock. You'd have to be a pretty dumb winger not to be able to handle the switch.
