Matai is likely to cop a 4 weeker. Rose and Foran should be back after the bye. What do you think Des will go with, what would you pick?

Desleys Side. (Mine in brackets)

1. Farrar
2. Robbo
3. Bailey (Whare)
4. Lyon
5. Rexy
6. Foran
7. Hokko
8. Perry
9. Ballin
10. King
11. Choc
12. Rodney
13. Gifty

14. Kite
15. Rose.
16. Cross
17. Galuvao (Buhrer - give the kid some time!!!)

Good team, I like the bench, it’s the centre that worries me while Matai (if) is suspended, it looked bad and I think will definitely cop a few weeks.

I don’t get Buhrer on the bench, first two games stayed on the bench and last night, limited time on the field (very limited)

Bailey is a concern, as I think his positional play isn’t great in the centres and he seems slow, maybe Whare is a chance he is playing well in under 20’s

I just think Kite, Rose and Cross is enough props. I'd either have a utility (which we don't have) or a second rower on the bench. Better for re-shuffles in case we get injuries from 1-7 plus 9. We have already drawn a line through Seu Seu playing unless Ballin is out.

yeah.. no Bailey...
everything he touched turned to sh*t last night, i dont feel confident with him starting..
bench watmough.. give him a scare.. he has been on auto pilot all year.. while everyone has stepped up this year (lyon, matai & trex esp) he has gone backwards, he knew he was a guarantee for s.o.o after last year so he has been lazy..prob missing his connection with ox... but needs a foot up his arse..

I have to add that King has been outstanding.

with Matai facing 4 weeks, Maybe Farrar to centre and Hoppa to fullback (is it time?)

Leave Farrar be. He is adapting and improving.

Agreed, mind you both he and T-Rex let a few bombs bounce last night, I know Haynes kicked them into orbit... But the high ball is still a concern.

Just hope Bailey doesn't get the centre position..

If your going to bring in an under 20 player for one game, wouldnt it be little hoppa?

If so I would put farrar in the centres and little hoppa at the back.

Whats farrars problem with the bomb - he seems terrified of any bomb put up? anyone know why?

I dont know if he is terrified or technique, either way he has put a few down, but overall very soild at FB and thank goodness we had him to replace Snake...

I am just a fan of young Hoppa, he seems like he has so much time in u20's, but a big step up to 1st..

I would play Hopoate at fullback and Farrar at centre, no lose situation I believe. If he plays to his potential then we have found a brilliant fullback, if not, he at least gets a taste of first grade and can go back to NYC and work on his game some more.

I don't know how far away he is, but with George you can probably bet he will take a bit longer to get back from that type of injury than your average NRL player, he's already top heavy and I doubt he's got any smaller.
