Seems weird to not have TMM as a late start into the halves and CHT to bench utility.

Of the lot, TMM seems to be the true halves organiser we have, CHT is more off the cuff.
We'd waste him on the bench.

Well, they not may be a dry track team, but we aren’t a wet weather team
Nope, although the weather doesn't look too bad and I imagine it's a reasonably free draining field.

There's just no area on the field where I can see us matching up, so we really have to hope they just don't aim up ala Manly a few weeks ago.

It's probably too early to make jokes about 'fair-weather fans'! But two hidings in a row...?

2025, Broncos at home. This has to be a '30 years' celebration?

This has 'Shit the bed' written all over this game.

Injuries to key players = Check.
Wet weather conditions = Check.
Big occasion game (30 years anniversary) = Check.

If you got kids or a partner. Take them out for a special night out instead. This is not going to be pretty at all.

That has to be the slowest looking backline in the comp. Hope the forwards can keep us in the game but feels like a hiding on the way. TMM on the bench doesn’t make sense

Maybe the wet track will help this? You're right, Capewell and Kosi on a flank is about as turgid as it can get.

To that point, is it a concern that Leiataua was changed from the right, where he was killing it, to the left? I can't imagine that's an easy shift.

I'd have to think a dry track would have been a potentially nightmare with the amount of attacking talent Brisbane have in their backline, I think we'd rather take our chances that we can somehow gain parity with what they have up front. We still have some talent in our pack, I don't think this one is as clear cut as people might think it is to the Broncs, they're not exactly in red hot form despite being 3rd on the ladder.

My hot take is that Metcalf is doing good. When we didn’t have Johnson last year we struggled with long kicking game with TMM and CHT. Metcalf is good with that (as in, it’s unnoticed which == good). Need to improve short kicking game tho but I reckon he’ll come good if he doesn’t get injured.

I'm looking forward to some former players being rolled out before kick-off.

I missed the first game because I was working in Japan but my mother sent me a package from home with all the newspaper reports. The Warriors were in the ARL!
