Team v Bronx

At least Tof has made it onto the extended bench for the first time this year, right?

f**k right off with Thompson being named. What does he have to do to get dropped, run backwards and actually pass a ball to the opposition to score? Because he's letting them in anyway, about as easily as the scenario I just painted.

Good thing for us is this the sort of game we win. The 'oh they've got some stars out, maybe if we put in we'll win reasonably easy. Winning easy is fun'.

And thank f**k for Lord Simon back.

I hope SK has made copies of the articles over the weekend calling for us to be axed and has them plastered all over the walls of the dressing room.

Create an us against them siege mentality and get some fire into this team. Bring some emotion and passion into it

Unfortunately mate, that didn't work after the shellacking they copped from the Penrith flame out. So it wouldn't this time either.

Nice idea the siege mentality.
But I wonder how it works internally at warriors vs other clubs.
When a kiwi born joins say Melbourne, Sharks, Broncos etc how are they welcomed into the fold?
Vs an Aussie at Warriors?
Do they find it harder to adjust or fit into a Polynesia group vs a Polynesian fitting into Aussie?
Do we see Lillyman, Hoffman and Ashford hanging out together?
It's hard to create a siege mentality if we are kind of segregated.

They clearly can't follow a game plan or a/the process, maybe it's a literacy thing?

Geez, I didn't want this. I don't dislike Kearney, I felt for him at Parra, I wanted him to succeed here.

We aren't far off Oz posting the dreaded eight word post he got so right in 2015:

We are not going to win another game.

Haha, two games after we absolutely put our balls on the line v the Roosters. And I'm not laughing at you, it's how it feels after the last 120 mins of rubbish. They made a rod for their own backs v the Roosters, who are a top 4 side. We expect that performance now, but mentally our guys don't want to wheel it out more than once a month or so.

Decent Bronx side, plenty of experience - not a game we can just turn up and win, ala some Origin periods in the past.

With patience wearing thin, Kearney admitted a third straight loss would leave him with little alternative but to consider other options in the weeks ahead.

"I'll look at that certainly after this weekend," he said.

"Am I happy with some of them - no, I'm not. But I've got to trust in them and the same players were doing a good "

"Mannering's leadership and defence around the middle of the park has been sorely missed, but Kearney does not expect the former Kiwis captain to turn the side's fortunes by himself.

"It's not for Simon to come back and fix the issues that individuals have to fix themselves.
"That's been a priority this week, everyone owning their performances over the last week and a bit, and making sure that we move forward in improving those.

"Simon, obviously he will help, but it's about everyone else making sure they've got their games right."

What's everyone hoping? Win against the Broncs and see out the year, or have another loss and see some changes to the team?

I actually think Vete is a bit underrated, he's generally done better than Lisone and Gubb and Brodene gets automatic selection.

There's clear potential in him and Afoa, the others mentioned seem like they've offered all they've got

AGREE!

We REALLY need this guy firing and with Mutts, Lillyman and now Gavet taking up 3 of those spots pretty much guaranteed this year this is Vete's window to stake a claim at least over the other middles LIsone and Gubb.

Lisone is the chief ball player when they Warriors have an out the back backline move wide. It all starts with Lisone hitiing it up then firing a pass to SJ before the line
