Are you kidding, he has the ball handling skills of a lesbian. Every time he drops the ball its at a crucial time as well. Ryan might not be as flamboyant but he is a lot more reliable. Peni can go back to NYC until he can catch a ball, then I'll be up for him having another shot.

I think your the only person who cant see that Peni is the future for our wingers hahaha you dont play Australian schoolboys if you dont have that talent and he has shown it in bucketloads. Oh well each to his own, my 2 cents say Peni & TNT :)

I agree with MM......atm Ryan is streets ahead of Peni.

Peni makes me shiver when he gets the ball,i wait for a drop or a silly pass, his positioning needs work too,he is a keeper. But Ryan is solid as a rock and getting better.

Peni will be a winger in the future. However for the short term, Ryan is a long way ahead of him. Focusing on 2008, Ryan and Tuiaki should be on the wings. in the future Ryan can move into the centres or fullback, or Tuiaki can move into the forwards to accomidate Tagive, WHEN HE'S READY. At the moment he clearly isn't ready, 12-18 months off it.

Fair enough, just have to agree to disagree then hahaha. Ryan has never made 178 running meters & 16 hitups in 1 match before... Peni did it last weekend so i fail to see how you can say he is not ready for it or up to it but thats cool every sees the game differently i guess :)

Dont get me wrong i have no problem Ryan playing on the wings for now, he just needs to learn to run straight instead of sidewards and he will make much more of an impact for us.

On the few times Ryan has been guilty of running sideways it has been a result of the players inside. When we get hammered in the forwards and have no go forward the backline and Benji in particular gets the sideways shuffle and the poor bloke on the line has a mile of defense in front him so has to try and find space back in the middle of the park or surrender in the tackle.

I think you will find their will be space for both Peni and Ryan come 2009

Its a lot more often then just a 'few' times, he runs sideways nearly every time he touches the ball. Your right in what you say though, if the halves are going sideways it doesnt leave much room for the backs to do anything.

Gonna be interesting next year to see how a lot of our positions are filled. Im curious how Sheens will make use of people like Beau, McDonnell (shouldnt be used at all lol), Tagive, Dunley ect....

The Bulldogs side we versed are not up to NRL standard either, against a quality side like Manly or Melbourne Tagive would get found out. He's got the potential no doubt, he just has a few too many errors in his game, and he makes them at crucial times.

Good game from Ryan last night - however I do feel he also makes crucial errors.

Last night he attemtped an offload on the first tackle inside our own 20, and he also overran a Lawrence pass when a certain try was on.

Not playing him down, just pointing out he makes just as many errors as Peni IMO. However in all honesty I dont mind who I see get picked on the wing. They both have something to offer atm.

What kind of word is versed? Are we constructing poetry now?

Your 'guessing' Peni would not be up to standard cause he hasnt had the chance to play them remember, he may very well kill Manly or Melbourne we cant really say till he has had a crack... but if i remember correctly Ryan had an absolute shocker v Storm so not sure where ya coming from one that one hahaha.

Ryan made some poor errors v Dragons backed up by some fantastic efforts, trying to pop a impossible ball out on the first tackle in his own 20 when the game was on the line wasnt a good one however over all he was fantastic as expected and big props to him !

Im really not trying to say Ryan isnt good enough for NRL level, cause i clearly agree with you he is !! My personal opinion is I just think Peni is the future thats all :) Having said that i agree Ryan should be on the wing for the rest of this season... he has earnt it.

That's what I'm saying, Peni is the future, but Ryan is the present. come next year I think Tuiaki will move into the forwards or Ryan will move to fullback to give Peni a spot.

Ahhh ok i got ya, well in that case i agree with you hahaha ;)

I think TNT is too damaging to move away from the wing, his returns and first tackle dummy half runs are huge. But wouldnt ya love to see Peni & Ryan on the wings, nice speed there.

Tuiaki in the back row playing a role similar to Frank Pritchard could be devastating. You've got Hino and Galloway in the pack to do the hard yards, then you put Tuiaki and Laurie in there as well for a bit of flair and explosiveness. Throw Ellis in there (an unknown quantity at the moment) and have Gibbs, Payten, Halatau and Harrison off the bench, its a quality line up.

I thought Tuiaki would be in the forwards by now to be honest. But now that he has been on the wing so long, I find it more and more difficult to see him in the forwards.

Yeah not a bad pack there... but im with the Gambler, im not sure we will see TNT in the forwards cause he is so useful on the wing. Time will tell.
