Agreed. And a big reason why for me is that TL is not one of those rare players who comes back from injury and is straight back into the groove. He has been injured plenty and by memory pretty crap on return for awhile. Should be getting reserve grade action.

Cappy said no point reserve grade for him cause risk of reinjury the same. Last part is true but he is missing the point IMO, its not about injury its about ensuring he has some game fitness and form under his belt before coming back to first grade.

yeh thats a bullshit answer from Cappy or otherwise he is just dumb.
Would you rather TL reinjure himself in NSWCup or in an NRL game when you know the the team will be down 1 interchange. For a guy that has a knack of injuring himself, i know where i would be playing him first especially when we know hes not going to contribute much in the first few games. As mentioned, the real reason hes playing is that Cappy is losing faith in Plodson. However, although others have been raving about Jazz, apart from his first game (which was heroic) his next 2 games have been average and some of his passing from dummy half had been diabolical, either missing the player completely or hitting the ground before the player. So im not as barred up about him as others in this forum.

Very true. my point was just there is actually very little between any of these teams on the day. The roosters aren't the complete numpties that their recent form might suggest. And the Rabbits aren't exactly premiership contenders right now.

In my opinion there's nothing between 12 of the 16 sides this year. The Broncos, Cowboys and Storm are out in front, and the Knights are near locks for the spoon (though even they have shown glimpses of form). Of the others anyone could beat anyone on the day.

I expect there will be 1 or 2 more teams that will fall away once the 'new season' energy fades (Tigers).

But yeah, in the NRL (and sport in general to be fair), 1+2=3 makes about as much sense as 1+2=lamp

Dragon are in a bit of a hole now too, successive scoreless thumpings. Puts our efforts against the Storm and Broncos into some perspective. We've really only played one half of really bad footy this year, the opening half against the Tigers. Had they aimed up in that we'd have won that game and the overall vibe for the season so far would be a lot different I reckon. Bloody Warriors and their slow starts!
