Annoying to see that spine

Hopefully Leuluai finds his peak, given we'll never be rid of him
Key now is Tui, who badly needs to inject into the line to help out

Is it because Luke is Harewa born?

Has being going well with Tevaga starting at hooker and then shifting the back row when Luke comes on. That doesn't work out as much when he's coming off the bench

You got it, only logical explanation!
Home town boy.
Hope he lifts for it.

He seems scared to go Fus, Lolo, SJ, Luke (or Jazz)
I guess we have the current setup till injury or 3+ losses in a row.

Coach just has no nads to make some big calls. TL and Wright are both not upto it. I can't see why he's gone back to Lolohea at fullback, when pre his injury he was picked at standoff. SJ needs better support than what TL offers. Why was Robson dropped after the Dragons game, where he actually linked quite well? Not surprised to see Hurrell not named, but disappointed none the less.

Oh well it looks like Cappy doesn't want to look like a coach who chop and changes his halves regularly and I can understand that. Was hoping to see Lolohea Johnson but Leuluai gets the nod and Leuluai can break the line so hope to see him do that a lot.

Gutted Hurrell is not selected but not surprised.

Tevaga adds good impact of the bench. The Hodgson and Hawera factor might've been the reason for Luke starting. It's no big deal really as long as both Luke and Tevaga is out there, hooker is not a problem for us. Seems like wherever Luke goes a good hooker partners up with him.

Our pack should be our heroes. Here's hoping.

Well at least he hasn't shoved a winger on the bench.

Agree re: Robson being dropped, one of the very few times this season (and beyond) that Johnson got some serious help in the halves. Surely you must reward a good performance rather than bring in a limited injury prone backup.

On the bright side, very solid forwards.

An Intrust Super Premiership-NYC double header is all set for Mount Smart Stadium #2 on Sunday – and entry is free.
The Vodafone Junior Warriors start the action at 11.00am with their NYC encounter with the Canberra Raiders before the club’s ISP side, running second in the competition, faces Manly at 1.00pm.
An array of NRL footballers will be on show as well as some of the game’s most exciting prospects from the under-20 ranks.
The Stacey Jones-coached Vodafone Warriors will be seeking a fifth straight victory after their recent victories over North Sydney, Newcastle, Canterbury Bankstown and Penrith.
Jones will be without front rowers Sam Lisone and Toafofoa Sipley, both promoted to the NRL squad this week after their impressive performances against the Panthers.
Coming into the ISP line-up are Charlie Gubb and Shaun Lane to join a formidable all_NRL starting forward pack which also features Albert Vete, Nathaniel Roache, Ali Lauitiiti and Ligi Sao.
Meanwhile, Vodafone Junior Warriors coach Kelvin Wright is set to introduce another debutant on Sunday with Cyrus Timo-Latu named on the bench. In the centres is Matthew Faitotoa who had his first NYC outing last week.

Haha, most likely. It would be the most definitive strategy I've ever seen out of our coach, so I guess that's progress. I've loved Tevaga starting, he brings a real energy that others don't want to or can't.

And now he's gone back to not having a back on the bench. That'll be the 10th time he's changed his bench approach. Not bad for round 11.

At least ol' favourite Gubb is gone.

I'm hoping with all my heart Luke has an absolute blinder on Saturday. Anything less than is best (by far) game in Warriors colours will be a disappointment. Tevaga has been great but it's time for this big signing to show his worth. He has the potential to really kick our forwards into gear (as is seen by Souths sorely missing him this year).

There'd be something wrong if he didn't fire up in his home province after being Sydney (and now Auckland) based for so long.

Geez, I was flicking through the Daily Telegraph in the waiting room this arvo and about 17 of their 20 regular tipsters picked the Raiders. It's good I suppose, as people are no longer believing our hype.

I am not sure, though I know I certainly could not get a couple more tickets in the stand that I wanted. Flying up tomorrow morning for it.
