Assuming Manu is out and Fusitua gets suspended for touching the ref id go

1 Lolohea
2 Wright
3 Ayshford
4 Kata
5 Allwood
6 Lueluai
7 Johnson

8 Lillyman
9 Luke
10 Matulino
11 Thompson
12 Hoffman
13 Mannering

14 Lisone
15 Vete
16 Lane
17 Sipley

I see no need to carry Roache or Tavenga on the bench. Gavet is out for a couple of weeks with an ankle injury. I think we should bash the Roosters up the middle hence 4 big forwards on the bench.

Hope Fus doesnt get suspended.

Roosters will be missing, Guerra, Cordner, Fergerson and possibly Pearce

Assuming David is out as well would you give that wing spot to Allwood who was dropped for allegedly being too soft or would you take a punt on someone like Wells to come in?

i guess its probably time to blood Wells. But hes a fullback through and through. Maumalos defence is shocking and he needs to fully tidy up that area before hes considered again

McFadden is going to go Wright over Maumalo every time. And in this case I agree. When the rest of the side is in form, Wright is the sort of solid plodder I can deal with.

Surely there's a precedent with Fusi in the fact that I'm picking he has an unblemished record, and the likes of Klemmer/Smith/names I can't remember have not missed weeks?

1- Lolohea
2- Fusitua/Wright/Allwood
3- Ayshford
4- Kata
5- Vatuvei/Wright
6- Leuluai
7- Johnson
8- Lillyman
9- Luke
10- Vete
11- Thompson
12- Hoffman
13- Mannering

Res- Lisone, Matulino, Tevaga, Sipley

Really hope Fusitua isn't suspended, as the Johnson/Ayshford/Fusitua combination is really firing.

Resigned to Leuluai until Hingaro is ready at least.

Even though we've won since Roache arrived, Tevaga adds much more value and I have no clue why he was dropped in the first place. It might be unfair to say that Roache had added nothing- but he's added close to nothing. Great to see Luke playing well and more minutes... but would rather Tevaga playing some time at hooker, some in the back row if needs be and then utilise Sipley for 15-20 mins. Is Roache there because Leuluai is 50/50?

I disagree about Maumalo, he has been outstanding for a while in reserve grade, several NRL teams wanted to sign him and he just needs a few games in first grade to find his feet. He is worth the investment. I am very happy as he will only truly improve now in first grade.

In attack, yes. He's still a bad defender in reserve grade

I thought I'd never speak these words but I'd have preferred Wright. Maumalo will be very, very heavily tested you would have thought. Up to the coaches to prove they have put improvement in him though, right?

Good to see Sipley in. And given Lillyman out, that means Guerra/Ferguson and Cordner (injured I know) out too?

If by "outstanding" you mean good at waiting for the ball to come to him with 5-10 metres of space and putting it down untouched after awesome work from the guys inside him, then sure. Otherwise, he's been mud.

He was close enough to the worst player on the field in reserves last weekend, and he gets a call up to NRL now?

If you can't defend at even a Manu level (ie. the lowest permissible level of performance on D) then you don't belong in the NRL.

Christ. It's like Cappy wants to lose - thank god Ferguson is out at least. SKD schedule to come back though...

TBH would have preferred either Wright or Allwood to Maumalo. My only guess for him playing, is to hopefully up his market value for a prospective other club.

Very surprised about Maumalo. I thought for sure Cappy would go back to Wright. I'm not sure I agree or disagree with the decision. It feels like the only thing consistent about his selection is its inconsistency.

Did any of you guys catch the Cronulla v Cowboys match last night.

The defensive intensity and line speed of Cronulla was amazing.

All about attitude, intent, and working together.

If only the warriors could achieve 80% of Cronulla's effort on D...

Yep bloody good game. For most of the game there's was hardly any drop balls in attack and the defense was solid from both teams.

Everything you mentioned as well. Lived up to its hype.

Hopefully we can match that..

As far as defense goes, I think Ken may be the worst defensive winger the club has had
and that's saying something. Utterly atrocious decision that he's in the side. I'd have Wright, Nicol Klokstad or Aoke in front of him.

Maumalo should have had this whole season in NSW cup in the second row. If he is ever going to make first grade, it'd be in that position.

As a side note, Maumalo will make the 32nd different player we've fielded so far this season. In only 13 (edit; make that 14) matches. Last year's NRL-wide record was 32 (Panthers) - can we beat it? Looks bloody likely.

The teams that play finals footy tend to know what their best team is and stick fairly close to it unless forced to change (last year only one top 8 team used 30 players - the Dragons). Cappy doesn't seem to have a clue.

Will Maumalo mark Tupou? If so, he might be in the side for his height under the high ball.

He has no clue. I wouldn't say we've been hit by a raft of injuries, like the Panthers were last year. I don't think we'll get to 32 unless Hingano and probably Wells gets a run.

Wright's not that much shorter, is he?
