14 Lino (Backup half/ hooker)
15 lisone
16 vete
17 Lousi/ Gubb (if Thompson is out then Lousi to start)

Between Tompkins, lolohea, Lino and friend I think we have enough cover for Johnson... I do think we will miss the experience of Manu and Hoffman (I think there both still a few weeks away). Hopefully fisi'iahi will not be seen again... 5 years of nrl and has yet to do anything that suggests he's nrl quality.

But can we at least put him in a bit of space before he's written off? The last player I remember setting him up was Lowrie and Fish went the length of the field (v Roosters).

Is it Fish's fault he's not getting any decent ball?

The problem with Fish is that he sits on his wing waiting for ball and pace to be gift wrapped to him

Did Lolohea show a lot more ball playing ability in the lower grades? I never saw him play under 20's and what not and people seem to have him as a lock for the 6, but from what he showed at full back his definite biggest weakness was getting involved in backline plays and setting up his outsides. Has just been a strong ball runner, definitely best suited for centre or on the wing at the moment. Not that its necessarily a bad thing to just have a strong ball running 5/8th I guess.

id give Kata a break. hes played all year and these young guys need to be managed better. Whats happened to Maumolo? Cappy was raving about him and now hes invisible.
Manu and Hurrell have to come back injured or not. Play injured. take a needle. i dont care. its bs. they've had a month off and they werent injured before the bye enough to make the media.
Hoffman has to come back too if Thompson is out.
Put Tompkins at 6. Unfortunately our current 6 and 7 have no vision. Lolohea is not built that way. He spends half his time crabbing across field looking for gaps and never finding one. He is a good distributor at centre. I would be playing him there.
Fish can go back to fullback .
Rapira needs to go to England now. Lisone in. Matulino can go back to bench. His brain explosions with his crazy offloads are getting up my nose. Lilyman and Lisone to start.
I would give Faitala Mariner a break and bring in Ikihifo for the Sharks game as its going to be an armwrestle and hes built for that sort of game.
Lousi has had his chances and didnt take them.

Fish showed with that feeble effort on Taufua that he's not FG standard. Can't cart the ball off our line, simply a finisher - which we need much more than. Maumalo is a strong carrier who I can't understand why was overlooked in the first place. Fish is a NSW Cup player.

Rapira is cashing a cheque each week winding down to leaving. No effort. Much rather have Lisone in with enthusiasm.

I dunno if there's a hooker good enough to play the bench role but Havili is so average. Friend's impetus will be lessened with 80 mins but we need someone to step in and do a job for 20odd mins.

From what I saw of him in his U20s time, he was very much a ball runner. I think he will probably play 6 in the future, but that may be about 3-4 years down the track. IMO he is a centre at the moment.

For the Sharks game, he probably has to wear the 6, but Tomkins needs to play half in attack. This will allow Lolohea to roam a bit. Tomkins stays at the back in defence.

That's not first grade league though. With how structured defences are these days, you have to go get the ball - and the times you're going to have open space are absolutely minimal. You might get it in a 50-6 romp, but you hardly ever will against decent sides.

Fish is also a feeble defender. It was embarrasing seeing him pretend to put his body on the line when Taufua scored.

And while I'm being negative (I don't like to be) what has Sione Lousi ever offered? I feel like I've never seen him play well, nor his brother. Absolutely zero impact.

Because we are still alive in 2015 (just)

If your thinking about looking at the future, why play Chad at all? Lino? Higano? Roache?

Either play for the here and now, or move on fully. Don't do things by halves (pardon the pun)
