Good chance we are missing Barnett. A bit of work to do in the middle of the park. Who comes in?

Afoa? Ale? Stowers-Smith? Laban in and Niukore into the middle?

Niukore's pissing me off again. The big lug's flopping around and getting stopped by little guys.

Bunty's the guy. He's hard and strong this year.

SSS for me. He was great in his debut and more games in NRL will only help him get used to the speed of the game.
Bunty is a good stop gap when theres no one else. His side to side agility is also not the greatest on D.

I just don’t understand how DWZ is automatic…. Is it written in his contract? Or given he’s overpaid do they feel obligated?

We're just short on wingers. I mean, the option is to play 2 fullbacks (Taine and RTS) or a very slow centre on the wing...both of which I'd rather do

This is EXACTLY the team I'd go for.

However, I can see Webby changing 2,4 and 14.

Would like to see Healey get another go but thats not happening in terms of team balance. Needs an Egan injury for him to get another crack.

I was thinking that Capewell obviously offers backline cover, but that would prompt a massive reshuffle in the event of an injury to the one of the halves. Then again, Egan has gone to 6 before, hasn’t he?

The way Webster works, he's never dropping anyone from a winning team. It's his style and while we're top 3, you can't necessarily criticise it (you can, actually, but some will tell you that you can't)

Yea that’s my pick for how Webster will go too. Whether TSS or Afoa to the bench probably the only question.

Webster may lean towards Afoa's experience given the circumstances, but TSS was good on debut so I wouldn't be upset with either. Everyone needs to lift to cover Barnett's loss anyway.

Re: Ali - anyone hear anything about his status? Obviously missed out last week to Berry but then didn't play Cup either. Hopefully nothing else to it and he's available to slot straight in.

Ford starting at prop, Capewell to centre, and Leka starting in the back row.

Wasn’t expecting that. Very curious to know what’s the go with Ali too and why he can only make the extended bench. Some sort of injury or something more?

Hopefully a journo asks the question cos the club isn’t offering much else yet.

Edit: just seen the mention of muscle tightness last week. Duh.

Fords been named to start then gone to the bench on game day previously this season. So guess we will see what happens

Good team, makes sense as a counter for the loss of Barnett.

Ford is the only guy with the engine and the nose for work off the ball that could get anywhere near Barnetts role in the team.

Capewell at center is pleasing too, his defence is next level there and he has been a revelation in pairing with Metcalf on attack.

Ramien will run into Capewell and not get up for a while.

Crazy how many young guys we have running out there this week against a gnarly Sharks pack, hopefully they can bring some energy and keep up on defence.
