Team v Sharks

Sharks are gettable, I'd worry about AFB who tends to drift some weeks but probably sees us as a week to aim up and get one over. Needs to be Fish's job to sort him out

Yea man this is Fish’s mano-a-mano moment, not just for this game but IMO for the season.

There’s bound to be some uncertainty amongst the team, especially the youngsters who haven't played with Fish before, about how they’ll manage without one of their leaders.

But if Fish makes this personal and wins a head-to-head battle with one of the comp’s elite middles, I think that'll send a really important message to the whole squad.

Might seem a bit waffly thinking of it that way, but I genuinely believe one of the reasons Penrith struggled early on was because they missed the confidence and belief guys like Fish and Luai used to instill in the dressing room.

Who is going to be defending around the spots where Nikora runs his cut back line ? That may be the key to the game because it is very hard to stop when they get it right

Nah I agree 100%. This week is JFH's line in the sand game in terms of being the enforcer and leader type we need, especially now Barnett's gone. No one else can fill that role (yet, maybe Demetric in time) - actually Marata could, but it's not really his thing.

Every team needs an alpha. Barnett was/is ours, he fronted up to Haas big time a few weeks ago.

A Saturday 5:30 pm kick-off leaves no NSW, Qld, Vic or NZ resident left behind when it comes to having a drink with the game. Beautiful.

(Unless, you're a shift worker, I know how that feels).

Ps, having missed both these recent Sydney games due to surgery recovery I've decided to make up for it by going to the Newcastle/Warriors game and booking a hotel there too. So, that's a big silver lining.

I'm 4 weeks away from being a permanent Vic resident and I can't wait for the new time zone. It opens up 2 hours more sport watching (if not more) and a chance with Origin etc
